Three men accused of beating a Lincoln Park man on the head with a pistol and torturing him by using a power drill to drill his left hand in the basement of a club were arraigned this afternoon in 25th District Court in Lincoln Park.

Henry Ramirez, 36, of Southgate, Coty Grifka, 26, of Lincoln Park and Nathaniel Brewer, 22, of Lincoln Park were charged with assaulting 38-year-old Dennis Cole.

Ramirez, Grifka and Brewer were charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm, felonious assault with a pistol and felony firearm possession. Ramirez also was charged with torture and felonious assault with a drill.

Police said the assault happened around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Bada Bing Lounge at 863 Dix Road in Lincoln Park.

Investigators said Ramirez allegedly restrained Cole and beat him on the head with a pistol, then took a power drill and used it to drill into Cole’s left hand.

Grifka and Brewer, police said, allegedly assaulted Cole by beating him in the head.

Cole escaped and drove to the Lincoln Park Police Department. He was later taken to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
