DREAMTROVE

Sure, this is true, but how important is it?

I've known many superbrains who alienate themselves into isolation, think up master plans, for no one.

The neocons are a cabal of very smart humans who listen to no one but each other until the circular ideas rotate so smoothly that what they are really hearing, agreeing with, and thinking are brilliant, are actually their own ideas fed back to them again.

The additive nature of human intelligence and ability far outweighs any individual advantage that genetic variation may grant one or another of us. It is the society which functions at the highest level of interaction that will perform the best.

I think many of our political ideas here are disagreements about which form of interaction produces the best results.

Personally, I think the exchange of conflicting ideas in competition creates the best environment for productive and provocative thought, and that's what we have here. Thanks to everyone for contributing over the years some of the most fascinating perspectives it has been my pleasure to read.
