That's about how I figured it, too. In other words, if I could tell you with 100% certainty that in 10 years a great percentage of the nation's wealthiest would be dead, their heads on pikes, do you think they'd do anything to try and forestall their demise by, y'know, actually HELPING the people who have nothing left to lose and figure they may as well take as many rich fuckers as they can with them on their way out?

Because that may well be where we're currently headed. Will anyone listen? Or will they, when the mobs show up with pitchforks and torches, simply weep that "Nobody could have foreseen this!" and "This isn't fair!"?

But Robespierre himself admitted to making things up on occasion, sometimes not insignificantly. Does this put us back into the Who Watches the Watchers scenario? How do we know the leaks are true? I mean, our diplomatic corps themselves are basically verifying with their fear that Assange isn't just sitting there in a bunker in Scandinavia making this stuff up


Mike, I suspect they *will* be dead in ten years because these guys are frikkin old, *and* they're so worried about eugenics and population control that they're spreading plagues around the world and they're so worried about profits that they're stifling medical research like stem cells...

Oh indeedy, it's like internet trolling on a global scale - he's got a bunch of giants flailing around like idiots trying to stomp an ant, albeit an ant with a very sharp pin.

Ain't even that he's released all that much that wasn't common knowledge, despite no one really wanting to talk about it - it's that he *embarrassed* the powers that be, he stuck a pin in their fragile fucking egos, and by their conduct, shown us how mad and how dangerous they really are to anything resembling sanity.

And yeah, verily, he did that shit ON PURPOSE.

He knows he's screwed, but he's also put the dumb fucks in the worst position possible, cause they *dare* not kill him, not only does it create a martyr, he's been holding the real, government-toppling shit back for the very eventuality that they kill him, send him to gitmo, or throw him under remora - at which point the timers kick over, the cut-out people and second line punch the right buttons, and all hell *really* breaks loose.

Just the way he planned it from the very fucking start - the only question is whether the powers that be are stupid enough to blunder right into the trap... and I think we'll have that answer soon enough.

I figure that at the point Assange went on this, he was probably so wanted for hacking that he figured they had him anyway. His only out now is probably to fake his own death. But yes, he's making them make an ass out of themselves, and they are doing far more damage to themselves than he did. And yes, he *could* have done that much damage to them, but then he'd be the bad guy. He wanted to make *them* do it to themselves. So, Bravo.

But you appear to get an endgame here that I'm missing...?
