Yup, she definitely shares the spirit of John Wayne (Gacy), doesn't she?

Dang, I guess all you Bachmann supporters better jump over to Wiki to change the pages about Gacy and Marion Morrison...

Saw a comment somewhere that proves she was right-- Marion's parents lived in Waterloo before they were married. So that proves he was " from" there. never mind that he was born in Winterset and that his parents moved to California before he went to school. He was a CALIFORNIA BOY, pure and simple, a product of Hollywood and USC.

That's quite a stretch. My parents lived in Nebraska before they were married. I've never claimed I'm from Nebraska, because I'm not. Even though I have lived there a few times, I'm not FROM there, even if my folks were.

I guess next we'll all be claiming that famous folks are from our hometowns if they just passed through one time...

That's exactly the length some of them will go to to prove she was right, rather than admit she was just plain WRONG.

You realize, of course, that is Their opinion, not mine. I think their opinion should be sprinkled on my front lawn to help the grass grow.

Keep the Shiny side up

Interesting that Huffington takes the opportunity at Ms. Bachman misspeaking about John Wayne to drag John Wayne Gacy, who she didn't metion at all, into the act. If a Republican did that, it'd be called a dirty trick and Niki'd be posting a long article about it.

It's a dirty trick to point out that there actually was a "John Wayne" from that town, just not the one she meant?

Oh, waaaaah. You act like it's some insane connection to make, when really, it's pretty much the obvious anecdotal connection. I thought old people were supposed to be past the crybaby stage.

That's just a tiny step above editing the wiki page on the stupid defense of the stupid scale.

Would it be a dirty trick to point out Bachmann's connections to and support of a "Christian" rock band that calls for the execution of homosexuals?

stian.html

Would it be a dirty trick to point out her use of taxpayer money to throw a Tea Party?

unds-p

She claims it was a "press conference" - one in which no questions were allowed from the press or anyone else.

Would it be a dirty trick to question her on her status as a "Welfare Queen", given that we the taxpayers have subsidized through welfare programs more than $250,000 paid to her family's farm, and a further $30,000+ paid to her husband's "clinic"?

What about the $137,000+ that that same clinic took in in Medicare payments? Would it be a dirty trick to point out that the vast majority of Medicare fraud comes from exactly these kinds of clinics?

Did I say anything was a dirty trick? I don't think so.
