DALEK!

So the Raptor continued to wail,

when the topic was dead as a nail,

what he didn't get,

was that everyone quit,

when he raised that racist flag and set sail.

I do not fear God, I fear the ignorance of man.

You're the one still posting childish, inane limericks here.

If it's so dead, then why not leave it be ?

Seriously, don't go away mad, just go away.

The Raptor thought I was mad,

maybe because he was so sad,

that I'm having fun,

while he's having none,

you would think he'd let it go like a fad.

Cain won the FL straw poll, by getting more than 2x's the votes his next two challengers got, combined.
By less than a thousand votes, in one state? We're supposed to take that seriously?

Dear Ruler has been caught.

You know that I take the label of “liar” pretty seriously. A person can only tell a lie if they know the fact to be untrue at the time they utter it. And that brings us to an unctuous utterance from Dear Ruler. Is he merely demonstrating his ignorance (he has an adequate supply, after all) or was he lying. You be the judge. Here’s the situation …

On multiple occasions, Barack Obama has stated that he should not be paying a lower effective tax rate than a teacher. Here’s just one specific example (though there are many): At a recent town hall meeting in Mountain View, California, Obama said, "Somebody who's making $50,000 a year as a teacher shouldn't be paying a higher effective tax rate than somebody like myself.”

That’s a pretty bold claim on the part of our Dear Ruler, wouldn’t you say? So FactCheck.org did the math, and you can guess what they found … Obama’s claim that he pays a lower tax rate than a teacher earning $50,000 a year is false. Here are the details from FactCheck.org.
A single taxpayer with $50,000 of income would have paid 11.9% in federal income taxes for 2010, while the Obamas paid more than twice that rate — 25.3% (and higher rates than that in 2009 and 2008). And if the $50,000-a-year teacher were in Obama's tax situation — supporting a spouse and two children — he or she would have paid no federal income taxes at all.
The outcome is the same whether we count payroll taxes or not, and even if we look at what the $50,000 earner will pay on 2011 income. Whatever the assumption, the rates Obama paid were higher — and usually much higher.

Obama has made it crystal clear that his 2012 reelection campaign is going to be based on the exploitation of wealth envy. If you’re paying attention you now know that he will resort to flat-out falsehoods in order to pander to the dumb-masses who don’t know any better. Obama is creating his own reality – a reality where the rich don’t pay their “fair share” and he pays taxes at a lower rate than middle-class Americans. Neither of these are true, yet he will continue to push these ideas until people actually believe that they are true.
Know what? I go with liar. These statements are untrue, he knows them to be untrue, and he knows them to be untrue at the moment he makes them. That makes him a liar.

Obama’s own campaign team has acknowledged this strategy of focusing on wealth envy, because he has zero accomplishments when it comes to the economy. His advisors say, “He needs to shift the focus from his stewardship of the economy to the stark choice confronting voters about the nation's political leadership.” Well no $4it, Sherlock So now jobs are no longer the focus for Obama. Screw jobs, because Obama knows that he doesn’t know how to solve that problem. Instead, let’s focus on leadership. An Obama campaign advisor says, "Most Americans are very concerned about the future and the direction we're going to take.” I don’t understand why the Obama administration thinks that this is going to work in their favor considering the latest Rasmussen polls show that just 17% of Americans say the country is heading in the right direction. So what direction does Obama want to take this country? Toward a redistributive society where the government seizes money from the Haves and gives it to the Have-Nots; toward a society where political leaders, not the private sector, decide where new economic growth will and will not be, and where new jobs will be created and where they will be eliminated. The LATimes reports, “Obama is tapping into resentment over the growing concentration of wealth in fewer and fewer hands.” They say this “helps the president forge an emotional connection with his base, especially minorities and working-class voters who have been falling behind.”

Does this re-election strategy inspire you to work hard or risk your savings to start the business of your dreams? If Obama manages to pull this thing off based on a re-election campaign of wealth envy, then the achievers in this country better bend over.

math-or-liar
/

And Niki, it was by a 2 to 1 margin. 'By less than a 1000 votes ' is meaningless, because it was a STRAW POLL vote, which only had a couple of thousand take part in the first place.

You're scared of a REAL black man being elected as President, and you're just pissed off at me because I'm right.

Yes, dipshit, I know. That's what I was talking about in the first place - we ignored the issue BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MATTER.

Nice try at deflecting, though. Granted, no one is dumb enough to fall for it (well, save you), but it's endearing to see you try try try.

Maybe we should have a "Special" debate section for you, one where you can keep track of what's said. We could maybe set up a text reading program to go over it, beat by beat, so you don't get so lost. Poor boy.

So, just to clarify, you completely ignored the issue, by NOT ignoring the thread.

Why ?

Just go ahead and flat out state that you're so overwhelmingly petty, clueless and full of irrational hatred for anything positive that you'll spend countless hours vilifying a person over absolutely nothing, simply because they post a relevant news item on the 2012 election.

Funny part is, this thread ended up being a display on just how completely asinine and obsessed you are with me. Funnier still, is that you don't think anyone sees it, and YOU think I'm the one who is stupid ?

WOW!

Y'all are such easy marks.

Yeah I have the freedom to not read this thread, which is what I pretty much did until yesterday. But I also have the freedom to come here and slag you guys about how weird this thread is.

And the freedom to yammer about whatever I want in it too.

So today I taught my singing class that I teach on Thurs. My folk were very proud of themselves for doing well in our performance on Sat. I was proud of them too, everythingwent well and today we spent the class, we had a shortened class, debriefing about the concert, what they enjoyed, what we could do differently next time to make it even better etc. Our group is growing and its fun to watch them get more confident in themselves and to have new folk coming in and joining us.

NOB - you're wrong, on pretty much all accounts.

Save for this...

Saul Alinsky wrote 'Rules for Radicals'. He's influenced many on the left, including Hillary and Obama

And that's about all you DID get right.

Alinsky made popular the idea that, instead of dealing w/ the issues, agitators should instead aggressively attack their political opponents on a personal level. And yes, agitators is a proper term. He believed that that system had to be turned on its head to be 'remade'. As in what Obama meant, when he wanted to 'fundamentally transform' this nation.

It's not perfect, and does need work, but the US doesn't need to be fundamentally transformed, at all.

This nation is not, nor was ever intended to be a 'democracy'. It's a representative republic, as the founders meant it to be, in the great wisdom.

Don't know why you'd be surprised I've heard of him. Limbaugh, Boortz, Hannity, O'Reily, Ingraham... lots of folks refer to Alinsky often. And as for the KKK, John Birch Society ? Really? Are you stuck in the 1960's and 70's ?

Sorry, but the TEA party crowd has no affiliation to those nut cases of bygone days. You really should try to get out more.

Che Guevera ? Learned about him on my own, mostly, but he's obviously well known in public discourse. Infamously, of course. And I've heard a lot about what he did and what he thought, that the Left wingers wouldn't want the public to know. How he participated in tortures and mass murder, What a overt racist he was, how he preferred white European women ( French, mostly ) to Latinos, and how he despised blacks.

Yeah, a real fucking hero, huh?

Sad, how you refer to yourself as a 'Browncoat', while extolling the virtues of those who'd fit nicely into an Alliance, bad-guys-wear-hats universe. Or, in this case, berets.

No one disputed it, you ninny.

No, y'all just ran from it, and instead tried to go all Saul Alinsky , by ignoring the issue and instead attacking me.

How productive AND mature of you.

Wait - "Saul Alinsky"? Is he the same guy you keep calling "Sal Alinksy", or is this a new guy?

By the way, I didn't ignore the issue. I addressed it several times, clarifying your "facts" with facts of my own. To which your response was to attack my signature, which I've had for several months, because you had nothing with which to refute my facts.

How very productive AND mature of you. ;)

...but now instead of deflecting please address the falsehoods Cain has said.

Or I will simply go back to mocking you.

Cain's mishaps are too trivial to even respond. His body of work, his resume', his political platform..it all speaks for itself.

You immaturely crank out dozens of childish, mocking posts, and then threaten to mock me even more, if I don't acquiesce to your nonsensical, irrelevant little challenge ? Really?

Color me bored.

Cain's "mishaps" are to trivial to even respond to? So it doesn't bother you that he doesn't know the difference between the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, doesn't recognize the First Amendment or its protections?

Or, if you think he DOES know these things, then you are forced to admit that he's a liar, willfully saying things he knows to be untrue.

So which is it? Which one do you find to be trivial? The idea that your dream date is a moron, or the fact that he's a liar?

Cain knows there are 50, not 57 states in the USA.

I've heard of Saul Alinsky, but Rappy has more than once referred to him as "Alinksy" and "Sal Alinksy", which tells me that he himself doesn't know a damn thing about the guy, and is just parroting what he (mis)read somewhere else.

For someone supposedly "informed" on such things, he sure has a hard time getting the guy's name right. That shouldn't be a surprise, though - the right is known for getting things completely wrong

Can you prove that he knows that? Do you think he knows how many Amendments our Constitution has?

Isn't that one of those things that you find too trivial to even respond to? Or is it only trivial when Herman Cain misspeaks?

Sorry, but the TEA party crowd has no affiliation to those nut cases of bygone days.

Well, I musta been right- he got the name from somebody's enemies list-- Limbaugh, Hannity , and O'Reilley. I'm sure the KKK, Birchers, and McCarthyites didn't like HIM in HIS day-- he was a minor figure and dead since 1971.( EDIT-- oops, pardon me, 1972.)

And of course the Tea party crowd has no affiliation to those nut cases of bygone days. They're the NUT CASES of the MODERN DAYS.

Thing is, the Birchers *DO* have ties to the tea-baggers, and have even been co-sponsors of some tea-bagger and GOP gatherings recently.

Apparently Rappy isn't as informed as he thinks he is. But it appears quite likely he's exactly as MISinformed as we think he is.

The John Birch Society, a group denounced by the late conservative icon William F. Buckley, has been making the rounds at several Tea Party events and will host a table at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in February for the second consecutive year after having not attended for two decades, save one year in the 1990s. Though marginalized by Buckley in the 1960s and 1970s, the society has started to make a resurgence of sorts by tying itself to the Tea Party movement.

It's okay, NOBC - Rappy often has trouble distinguishing between reality and the voices he hears in his head.

BrownSHIRTS and Beret wearing, Che loving morons fall on the same side of the fence, imo.

Me, I'm on the other side, in favor of freedom. Just like the rest of the TEA party types.
