I can't believe nobody's started a thread of the subject, given all the hoohah in the MSM. Tho' I'm sure some folks just hope the whole story will go away.

But here's a different question. Has anybody actually seen a picture of the bleedin' thing? Has anybody ACTUALLY published one?

I'd like to look at the object myself, see what can and can't be made out on it, from it.

The search engines are entirely squeamish about the subject, won't respond to the word n

r, a word which I use very rarely, and with extreme provocation, but at the center of the whole thing. SO it's necessary to use.

All I can find are re-hashes of the facts: the sign existed, it was painted over, but nobody can say EXACTLY when, Herman Cain doesn't like it, it proves Perry is insensitive, Perry himself tipped the big rock over , like Samson, or had his Daddy do it, Perry never actually even saw the word, or maybe did, blah-blah-blah, spin, spin. I KNOW ALL THAT.

Aside: it was funny, I caught a little of the discussion on The View the other day. Every other word was " blank ". They even censored Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Sheppard, who, being black, can get away with saying it.

I'd like to see some objective evidence: a picture of the rock standing up and readable, dated; a picture of the rock painted out; a picture from 2011 of the rock; a group photo of guys in KKK hoods burning a cross it front of it.

Anybody ACTUALLY SEEN ANYTHING?

I can't find anything, either...I would guess it might be on his private property so nobody can see it without going there or something. Even if it's currently painted over (which yes, I read it's been and not been), someone should have wanted to put up a photo.

I adored when Wyatt Cynak came out with "I'm not in Texas, Jon, I'm in YOUR state. I'm standing in front of Niggerlake, New York"! Then went on to itemize some of the racially-insensitively-named places all over the country. Put things in perspective.

I think Perry is, as usual, stupid in how he's dealing with it. Something along the lines of "that's from times gone by and part of a shameful history; I have it painted over whenever it appears" would seem to me to have addressed the matter for me.

As far as skeletons in the closet, this one is a non-starter for me.

I started a thread on it on Sunday, about Perry shooting himself in the foot, then stopping to reload.

He's pretty much vanished from the public eye since then, hasn't he? But Herman Cain sure jumped into line quick, it seems. He was outraged one minute, then the next, he wasn't offended at all. Curious behavior.

Ironically he painted the rock white...now that's insensitive. Maybe he thinks thats how you deal with matters of race, a thick coat of white paint. I call on him to drop out of the race. Cain is as big a joke as all the others, and will fade. Looks like Romney to me. Lordy, won't it be fun if the ultra-right religious fanatics' only choice is a Mormon or someone they believe is a Muslim???
