...What?

Is this satire?

Although, I guess I agree with the sentiment that politicians in general are just idiot puppets and really not the people making policy. If that's what's being said.

If you're asking ME, NO. I'm issuing orders to my super secret undercover liberal/leftist/Commie spy and assassination gun owners ring thru this extremely private communications service, using our top secret code name for the highest priority target--

Excuse me, vehicles with red lights and sirens are pulling up in my street, and a bunch of guys in body armor are knocking on my door...

Of course this is satire, or maybe sarcasm or irony. Whichever flavor you prefer...

Last time I saw Orlando Jones, he was a comedian acting in Evolution with David Duchovny and Sean William Scott.

Now he represents the left???

What does any of that have to do with "the left"? It's a truly sad, SAD effort to say...something, I dunno what. I realize Raptor is desperate to knock the left, but damn, even I could do a better job.

Oh, well, onward...

Yes, because a joke posted by a comedian (with smiley, even) is totally indicative of the entire left.

Of course, try to apply such idiotic "logic" to a teabagger saying something and good ol' Raptard will trip over himself rushing to attack and claim that there is no one Tea Party.

Same ol' Rappy. Dumb as a fucking brick, with none of the self awareness.

Remember all those hi-larious jokes the Right made, about killing Obama ?

Oh,wait... never mind. That never happened.

I find it strange that folks on here have such selective memory, and have forgotten how often those on the Left , almost routinely, make comments about killing conservatives.

Oh, never mind. It's not strange at all. It's business as usual.

As you were.

Let's see. How about a whole SLEW of "Kill Obama" games?
http://www.flashgames247.com/free-games/163131/kill-obama-games

Orrrr, this, on FauxNews:
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1340189/fox_news_kill_obama_just_joking/]
BREAKING NEWS: While commenting on Hillary's RFK gaffe, Liz Trotta on Fox News Channel first referred to Barack Obama as "Osama" and then laughed that they should both be killed.

Or how about http://www.metacafe.com/watch/1340189/fox_news_kill_obama_just_joking/

Or

Orrr, how about this beauty:
Quote:

Christian Conservatives Praying for God to Kill Obama
There's a hilarious new meme in the wingnut sectors of the internet: someone's coined a bumper sticker slogan encouraging people to pray for Barack Obama. But here's the funny part: it's really a secret Christian code for "Kill the President!'

Posters to various message boards tell stories of seeing bumper stickers with the message "Pray for Obama—Psalm 109:8" on the highway, only to look up the verse and find, "Let his days be few; and let another take his office." People — like the commenter "Panama" on INGunOwners.com, to pick one guy completely at random — think this is "too funny." The next verse in Psalms is, "Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow."

Anyway, now it's a real thing: CafePress is selling T-shirts and bumper stickers, the Christian Science Monitor is wondering whether it's "funny or sinister" to pray for Obama's death.

UPDATE: CafePress appears to have halted sales of all the Psalm 109:8-related merchandise.

Psalm 109 is known as "A Cry for Vengeance," which is one of the foundational values of Christianity, along with small-business tax cuts. It's actually quite a little psalm, as psalms go, and the opening lines sound really familiar:
Quote:

Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

for the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me:they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

Then it gets into the part where you pray for God to smite Barack Obama and condemn Malia and Sasha to poverty for the rest of their lives, a fate they deserve because they sprang from the loins of the sinful:
Quote:

Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
The Psalm 109:8 gag is one in what's becoming a long line of cheekily coded Obama death threats: There was the classified ad someone placed in a Pennsylvania paper hoping that he follows in "the footsteps of Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, and Kennedy," all of whom were assassinated. And there was the gun-toting New Hampshire teabagger with a sign saying it is time to "water the tree of liberty"—a reference to Thomas Jefferson's reminder that the tree of liberty must be watered from time to time with the "blood of tyrants and patriots."

Why not a T-shirt that says, "Will Somebody Please Kill That Guy Already?" The word games are getting tedious. If you want Barack Obama to die and for curses to "come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones," and for his name to be blotted out in one generation, just say so! http://gawker.com/5407568/christian-conservatives-praying-for-god-to-k
ill-obama
are links within the article if you doubt any of it.

Wanna get more serious?
Quote:

The U.S. Secret Service is investigating an online survey that asked whether people thought President Barack Obama should be assassinated, officials said Monday.

The poll, posted Saturday on Facebook, was taken off the popular social networking site quickly after company officials were alerted to its existence. But, like any threat against the president, Secret Service agents are taking no chances.

"We are aware of it and we will take the appropriate investigative steps," said Darrin Blackford, a Secret Service spokesman. "We take of these things seriously."

The poll asked respondents "Should Obama be killed?" The choices: No, Maybe, Yes, and Yes if he cuts my health care.

The question was not created by Facebook, but by an independent person using an add-on application that has been suspended from the site.

"The third-party application that enabled an individual user to create the offensive poll was brought to our attention this morning," said Barry Schnitt, Facebook's spokesman for policy.

Because the application was disabled, the responses to the nonscientific polls are not available.

"We're working with the U.S. Secret Service, but they'll need to provide any details of their investigation," Schnitt said. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/28/kill-obama-facebook-poll-_n_3

, it's Huffpost, but they're about the only ones reporting it...so prove the FACTS are wrong if you want to diss the article.

Or, hey, let's go right back to when he was elected:
Quote:

A Southern California man was charged Thursday with threatening a presidential candidate, for posting a racist note to a Yahoo message board in October expressing displeasure over Barack Obama’s candidacy, and predicting "he will have a 50 cal in the head soon."

Walter Edward Bagdasarian, 47, was found with an arsenal of six weapons when Secret Service agents raided his La Mesa home in November, according to court records (.pdf). He had three handguns and three rifles, including a 30.06 with a telescopic sight and a Remington .50 caliber muzzle-loading rifle.

Bagdasarian is not accused of actually plotting against Obama, and he was released last month on a $100,000 real estate bond. Bagdasarian’s attorney did not return a phone call Friday.

The post in question showed up on a Yahoo Finance board on Oct. 22, about two weeks before the election, under the handle "californiaradial." The message was titled "Shoot the nig."

"County fkd for another 4+ years, what nig has done ANYTHING right???? Long term???? Never in history, except sambos."

"Fk the niggar, he will have a 50 cal in the head soon," the message concludes.

The message thread has been deleted by Yahoo, but traces in Google’s cache show that several other users announced that they were reporting californiaradial’s comments. In subsequent posts, the author calls one critic a "crybaby," but does offer an explanation for the apparent threat. "I was drunk."

U.S. Secret Service agents in Los Angeles traced the post to Bagdasarian through the IP address. When they interviewed him, Bagdasarian reportedly admitted authoring the message. http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2009/01/threat/ go back even FURTHER? Try 2007, before he was even elected:
Quote:

Renegade right-winger Ted Nugent recently went on a vicious onstage rant in which he threatened the lives of Democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Decked out in full-on camouflage hunting gear, Nugent wielded two machine guns while raging, "Obama, he's a piece of shit. I told him to suck on my machine gun. Hey Hillary," he continued. "You might want to ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless bitch." Nugent summed up his eloquent speech by screaming "freedom!" http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ted-nugent-threatens-to-kill-ba

Wow, that is the meanest thing I've heard in a while, well one of them anyways. I don't think its funny to play at things like that. Sometimes my dad and I play curse in the Irish fashion, making up silly curses, but we don't mean it and I'd never wish biblical curses on people, especially that one because it relates to one's progeny. That's not funny and super embarrassing.

Which 'quotes' did you bring up? Those folks never said they wanted anyone on the Left to be killed.

Swing and a miss, right there.

Meanwhile, you have folks on the Left wishing anyone from Bush , to Clarence Thomas to Henry Hyde, would die.

“I’m thinking to myself if we were in other countries, we would all, right now, all of us together, . . . would go down to Washington and we would stone [Republican U.S. Representative] Henry Hyde to death! We would stone him to death! Wait! . . . Shut up! No, shut up! I’m not finished. We would stone Henry Hyde to death, and we would go to their homes and we’d kill their wives and their children. We would kill their families.” - Alec Baldwin , from Late Night with Conan O'Brien December 12, 1998.

There have actually been times where I thought EVERYONE was a sockpuppet, and I've accused people of being sockpuppets before even when they probably weren't.

I'm happy to report that I only wonder if someone isn't really someone else despite knowing better only maybe twice a day now. But, I still have trouble determining whether I haven't been talking to myself for the last three years.

There's no evidence to the contrary. :(

You're funny, you know I'm not you because we email, like, all the time and I've talked to you on the phone, that would be hard if we were the same person. But yeah, I think people wonder about sockpuppets from time to time. But it hasn't come up recently, I've been waiting for it to come up again.

I don't believe that Kiki and Signe are the same person though, they agree often, okay, most of the time, but their speech patterns are varied enough that either she is really clever or they are two different people. Plus Signe gets reallly mean every once in a while but seems sorry afterwords, whereas when Kiki is mean she never apologizes. That right there is how I know they aren't the same entity, along with the other things.

I should totally make a sockpuppet that is really from the Fae realm but because ofan infraction of some kind was doomed to a lifetime in this mortal and oh-so-flawed form. But everyone would totally know it was me because that's my favorite pet backstory. Plus I have no filter, I couldn't pretend to be someone else for long without someone figuring it out. I do play freeform pretends, but all my charactors are super cool so everyone would know they were me, hahahahahha.
