It looks like the Republican Jewish Coalition’s GOP 2012 panel to be held on December 7 will not include candidate Ron Paul.

Other GOP candidates have actively courted the RJC.

“As Mike Allen previewed in Playbook, the event will allow the seven candidates taking part — Ron Paul is not attending — 35 minutes each to speak,” writes Maggie Haberman for Politico.

It is not clear if Ron Paul declined to participate or if the RJC decided not to include him. Adam Kredo of Washington Jewish Week wrote: “Note that Texas Rep. Ron Paul, no good friend of Israel, will not be in the house.”

Kredo’s comment was posted on the RJC website.

During the last GOP debate, Paul said that the U.S. should be less involvement in Israel’s affairs. “I think they’re quite capable of taking care of themselves,” he said.

Paul’s response came after he was asked if he would support an attack on Iran if he was president. “Why does Israel need our help? We need to get out of their way,” he responded.
Both Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich voiced support for an attack under certain conditions.
