There really are no words. 15 illegitimate children. 3 baby-daddy's, the current "fiance" , in prison... and this woman has the nerve to say that... " somebody needs to pay for ALL of these children... somebody needs to be held accountable, and they need to pay "

Well unless we as a society want to let those children starve to dead someone will need to pay to care for them. I'm unwilling to let the other side of the coin, the what's mine is mine mentality, push us into a society and country that would let kids go without the very basics. If that means I have to put more in, so be it. If that means that you have to put more in, again so be it.

So kind of you to speak up on my account. Never mind the fact that you're fully entitled to speak up for yourself, but who gave you the right to speak for others? For me ?

Here's a novel idea. Take care of your own.

Can't do that? Then they no longer will be YOURS. We make sure the ones who are here, the children who didn't ask to be put in this position, are taken from you, and put where they can grow and learn and eventually do for themselves, and the mother ? In a word... 'fixed'. No more 'presents from god', you've been 'blessed' enough.

Hello Nick,

I entreat you to avoid a distasteful discussion about 'speaking for others' versus 'forced sterilization and kidnapping.'

There will be no pleasant end to this, nor lessons learned, nor truths revealed.

In my opinion.

Would these novel solutions of yours be reserved only for black people, or would you advocate forced sterilization, "the state" seizing and raising the children, and the government deciding who can breed, and when, for everybody?

And you still can't figure out why I call you a fascist...

And by the way, who gave you the right to speak for these people?

There's some woman I saw on the news who used "gubmint money" to raise 23 kids by different daddies, got free gubmint healthcare and free retirement for life, took more than $250,000 in welfare to not work on her family's farm, and whose husband took more than $150,000 in welfare from the gubmint. Talk about a lazy welfare queen!

Right. I suppose Kwickie agrees that those children should be put to sleep.

I say society takes care of them, by taking them away from such an abusive mother, and also makes sure she doesn't down load MORE kids to abuse.

WE in society already do this, of course, when a child is severely neglected or abused.

So, yes, we the people, Kwickie, do this. You ? Sounds like you're for offing them, like pets in a kennel.

Agrees? Agrees with whom? Who suggested putting children to sleep? You? You seem to think someone did, if you think I "agree" with that. For the record, you're dead wrong, of course.

Not sure where you got the idea that I'd put children to death. It was YOUR suggestion that the government should take children away, sterilize the mothers, and more.

Ah, so you DO speak for others, then. Thank you for admitting it. Why did you have such a problem with Nick doing this, if you freely admit you do it as well?

Again, not sure where you get this idea of "offing" children or comparing them to "pets in a kennel", but certainly not from anything I've said or posted.

You do have a history of being quite amused at the idea of "offing" certain children, though - Muslim and brown-skinned ones, particularly.

Your 'fixed' idea runs so much against your daily screams about freedom it makes you a laughable hypocrite.

I did not speak for you. I did not ask if you wanted to contribute more, nor do I care in that regard. If you have more then you need and the needs of others are great enough some of what is yours should be taken.

Now, regarding taking the children from their mother. I can support that. If a parent can't care for and is not making strides to do so they should lose custody until they can support them.

Actually, it doesn't. If you'd been paying attention, I said that your freedoms, all of our freedoms, extend as only as far to where they don't infringe upon the freedoms of another. When this lady knowingly, purposely kept having children she couldn't take care of , and DEMANDS that society takes care of HER kids, then she's infringing on the rights of others.

Extreme cases sometimes cause for extreme measures. This woman, with her 15 illegitimate children, and no means of support, clearly has shown a utter disregard for herself and her children's welfare.

Good to see that your bias hasn't clouded your vision completely.

And Kwickie, you're merely trolling again, as usual, it's clear. I gave my opinion on what I think SHOULD be done, as well as stated the facts of what ALREADY is done. On the latter, I'm not speaking for anyone else, just admitting a fact, whether you like it or not.

Don't expect you to understand all this, and even if you do, I don't expect you to walk back your idiotic rants. If you did, then you'd have nothing at all to contribute to this thread.

Magons, well said. The actual "entitlement" mindset is exactly what you described. The fact that those on the right created that phrase as a visceral buzz word to make people think that's what it is doesn't change the fact that we paid into the things we get back like Medicare, Disability and Social Security; we're "entitled" to the return on our money, and the only true "entitlement" mentality is that of those who think they're entitled to make as much money as humanly possible by manipulating the system and because they can afford to "buy" representatives to tip the scale in their favor. They feel they're "entitled" to whatever they can get away with, they didn't make a contract with the government to give their money in exchange for services they need later in life.

Regarding the woman in question, has anyone considered the fact that abortion (and in some cases pregnancy prevention) have been made virtually impossible for the poor to attain? For one thing, leaving aside all the laws either enacted or trying to be enacted which would omit pregnancy protection of any kind, "the pill" costs money, and given the efforts to make sure no healthcare pays for pregnancy prevention, we can't know how many of those children the woman WOULDN'T have had if she'd had options. Without knowing all the facts, judgment (even if it's appropriate) is impossible.

And yes, Mike, who might that lazy welfare queen be, I wonder? Anyone want to take a guess?

As to a woman's right to choose what she does with her body having anything to do with "eugenics", it seems to me that Raptor's desire for forced sterilization of the poor fits in quite well with that. So I guess Raptor is a eugenics proponent. It's a logical conclusion, since I doubt he thinks the welfare queen Mike referred to is someone he would have sterilized by force.

I am not the arbiter, out society is. It is ovious that those kids, and many others need at least the very basics, food, clothing, shelter, and because of this and because we live in a society that is unwilling to let those kids die, you may have to give some more. That is the cost of living such a society.

It doesn't matter what the race is. Government mandated sterilization is a very bad road.

The ultimate result of sterilizing someone is limiting their contribution to the gene pool, for whatever reason. In the case of this mother, the problem is a lack of education, and not anything particularly wrong with her genetics. In fact, her ability to HAVE so many children is an indication of a very desirable trait that is vanishing - most women are limited to about seven or eight children before they become infertile due to the strain on their reproductive system (and sometimes their bladder). But that number is also going down via unintentional selective breeding and social norms. Your idea inadvertently limits human potential as a whole, which is not altogether wise.

Other parents adopting out the children is on its own sufficient.

DREAMTROVE

Oh how shallow and predictable most of this is. When it was white quiverful christians, things were flipped.

Dodging the whole thing, and the eugenics question, don't get me started, I thought the video demonstrated a couple of things very nicely, so, thanks Rap, for posting it.

This is a video of people behaving badly. All of them. Everyone on this video. It illustrates a lot of why we still have these sorts of problems.

1) Mom is behaving badly, not by having so many kids, but by expecting someone else to take care of them.

2) Dads are behaving badly. One is in prison, probably fucked up somewhere, not thinking about the kids, but the other one is where? We saw him. Hey, dad, come back, family needs you.

3) The kids. Hey, kids. The family needs rent, food on the table. Three of y'all are grown up, and two more look good to go. Knuckle down, pitch in.

4) White Southern racists. I mean, just look at the lot of them trying to figure out a way to take the kids away and send them off to foster kids, and yeah, they're thinking they want to sterilize momma before she has anymore black kids.

5) The judge, like, WTF? Are you pregnant? What happens if she says yes? Are you going to force her to have an abortion? I mean, if you're going to go that route, fuck it, let the kids starve.

Sadly, there are a fair number of entitlement minded people of all ethnic groups pushing their problems onto the system, and sadly, the system is full of Nazis trying to destroy families.

Oh, and can I throw in sister, like what's her problem? Nazis are attacking your family, your sis is mentally incompetent or something, do something. Okay, sure, you've had enough, I don't mean move them all into the kitchen, be whip some asses into shape and push them in a more functional direction. Maybe mom can't handle the family, but then maybe mom shouldn't be in charge.

Finally, the attitude really gets me. You see it around here, where everyone is white. Go into a courtroom and if the plaintiff is poor, the entire courtroom staff will treat them like five year olds. Sit down and obey our rules or we're going to spank you. It makes me sick.

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.

This woman, with 15 kids out of wedlock, IS getting something for nothing. And even with what she's been given, it's still not enough. And that's how this mess was able to get to this point. She's about as unfit a mother as there is, and at age 37, needs to stop having kids, and have the one's she's already had taken from her.

sorry, you just come off as a totally judgemental bastard in this matter, and someone who is obsessed with the contents of their own hip pocket.

Do i think it is great that a woman would have 15 children to different fathers. No, I don't, I think it is foolish and irresponsible. But guess what, there are truck loads of people living their lives in ways that I don't approve, and this woman doesn't really rate anywhere near the worst.

The bottom line as I see it. Do people have the right to make choices around their own reproduction? Yes I do. I say that knowing that plenty of people will have children under circumstances that are less than desirable, but I still believe they have that choice.

Should children suffer because of the poor choices of their parents? NO. It isn't there fault that they were brought into this world by foolish parents/ They still deserve access to decent housing, food, clothing, education and care. That is what welfare should ensure.

Will some people exploit the system? Yes they will. There will be those that exploit any system for their own gain. You can put in checks against such things, but in the end, some people will use children as a cash cow. Sadly. Doesn't mean you dismantle the system/

In the end, the life of this woman is hardly worth the air space that we have given it, in the grand scheme of injustices in this world. So how about you just get over the fact that you WILL pay taxes and you won't always agree with how they are spent. Where is your bitching about how your money was used to fund several pointless wars, and killed 100,000's of civilians not to mention sending thousands of your military personnel to their deaths?

I don't disagree with you, except to say that no matter what, even if it means taking in another child, a government does not have the right to sterilize someone. Freedom has a price, part of that price is paying for the irresponsibility of some.

I have an idea...why not make parents take a basic child care quiz before they take Precious home?? Who's rights would that violate? And it's in the best interest of ALL children, so who would object? Those that fail miserably would recieve free counseling and social service wellness checks more often.

Or is standing around and yelling about stupid breeders just more fun?

Creepy nanny state you got going there. While it may seem like a good idea at the outset, think about the power you're handing, and who you're handing it to. Figure the same whiteys you just saw, being all sorta white supremacist like, are about to get the power of who does and doesn't have children. Result? I'm seeing that Rick Perry N*ggerhead institute adopting a hundred thousand black kids, which good "keep america white" christians signing off to send 'em all to the cotton picking academy 24/7. That's right, you can pick while you learn, and by the time you graduate with an BFOQ in agrarian arts, you owe Jim Crowe's Company Store a life's savings, but you ain't done the saving yet. Don't worry sonny, you'll have 40 good years of hauling ass to pay it off in.

Okay, so I'm on the pessimistic side of govt. intervention, but I got a pretty solid track record over here of that being the case. Also, look at whitey in that video. Not really bending over backwards to be fare and caring.

I am gonna say upfront I don't watch rappy's videos. If you can't post an argument in words, it kind of indicates a lack of capacity to frame a decent argument.

so for the sake of not knowing anything about this woman, you can't assume that because she has 15 children to 3 different fathers that will not be a good parent, or that the children are not doing okay in her care and that even if the care she provides is not fantastic, so long as the kids are not abused or neglected the best interest for them would be to stay with her than to be separated from each other and her and brought up with strangers.

Again, you miss the point. She can have 500 children, but the issue of entitlement centers on her not being able to pay for ONE of them, and expecting society to carry her load.

OMG. Yer callin' me creepy???! I din't think it was even possible to hallucinate what you just came up with... Do you really think all nurses and social workers are WHITE? 'Cause I know some people who'd take serious issue with that...

I'm talking about a QWIZ, like the one you take to graduate or drive. What, did you picket whitey for making sure you could drive???

Diapers should be changed:
A once a day
B once a week
C when soiled

Babies are:
A mini adults that can't talk
B good punching bags
C extremely fragile

Believe it or not, some people they just hand babies off to couldn't answer those questions. I think hospitals are NEGLIGENT in not making sure a parent has basic skills before handing off a fragile being. Just 'cause you can make one, don't mean you can take care of one- or even recognize that you can't take care of one...Somebody!! needs ta sort that out...

Wish I May:

Excuse me?

1) Did you watch the video? Tell me you can watch the video and the creepiness of the social workers not come off.

2) The took the children away. I mean, hello? If they're already acting in a fascist manner, then their actual creepiness is really secondary.

3) No, you're not. You missed the point because you just did it again. Stop, think, and use your imagination.

You just handed the *power* of whether or not they can have kids to a small group of fairly obvious white supremacists. I think that's damn near close to the worst idea I've ever heard.

So let's rewind.

A. As soon as you say that the social workers* this "test" they can perform to tell actual parents whether they can keep their actual kids (the most absurd power in human history just granted.)

B. You *trust* them to give this test and make the decision. Nothing untoward could ever come out of that, because nothing like that ever happened before.

Do you remember literacy tests for voting? Remember how that turned out? Sounds like a good idea, right? I mean, we don't want morons choosing our leaders, right? But I assume you do know how it turned out.

C. So, pretty much forgone conclusion for this test, week one it goes like this.

Q: So, what's the first thing you're going to do when you take this child home?
A: no hablo ingles

Q: I'm sorry, I didn't understand your response. Maria, You gotta tell me the first thing you're going to do with little Carlos when you get him home...

Yeah I know what you're thinking you're thinking of course the test will be in english and spanish, but you didn't say so, and you just handed all the power over to the state of florida, and now that they have the power, they don't ever have to listen to you again. You can call them up and tell them that they have to give it in spanish, but you know what? they hate that idea. And they don't hate it half as much as the state of arizona whom you also just handed that power to.

It's a nightmare. There's nothing about this that is ever going to go anywhere near being anything good. You just need to apply a little imagination to see exactly how bad it can get.

So, Next thing that happens... because it ain't bad yet.

D. They change the test. What? Why? They can't do that. Sorry, they already did. You gave them the power, and now they've gone and changed the test on you.

Q: Name the 50 states in alphabetical order backwards please.
A: Oh no you didn't

Oh, but we're not done changing the test.

Q: Do you believe in God?
A: What the hell kind of question is that.
Q: Excuse me miss, but you're talking to a representative of the state of mississippi, and you should not disrespect me because I have the power to take your children away and throw you in jail.

One of the great things about America is that you can opt out. You don't have to be a part of the madness. Sure. There are people who are already in the above situations, all of them, but that's because they went to the state for help. Once you realize that the state is your enemy, you know that these people are on the same train as the one the Jews took to a new life in Israel as paid for by the German govt. It's the train of hope. I don't know if prayer works, but at that point I might start trying. I sure know hope doesn't.

This is quite a different stance from the one you took during the Gulf oil spill. At that time, you DEMANDED that the government take over and fix it, because it was simply too big to expect the oil company to carry the load.

So what changed? Or do you firmly believe that governments are required to "carry the load" for corporations, but never for people?

Technically, by definition, it's the same.

It's like when the Federal Government was taking children away from Native Americans and put them in "good Christian schools".

Essentially both are genocide. Ultimately both have the same consequences, it's just one is more direct, and one is more indirect.

(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

As for Rap's eugenics plug, I saw it but didn't respond because Anthony had pre-empted me clearly trying to head off a eugenics debate.

This is a different issue, the creation of absurd govt. power through getting them to "help." It's very white man's burdeny, or perhaps worse. So, no, it's not as nazi as forcing her into surgery, but it's headed off in the direction. The difference is that the flat out eugenics, most people will see it as evil, but transferring a similar amount of power to social services, they won't notice.

Hence my pointing it out. Re: Your squirrel point: Social services should take away the children to protect them from themselves and their relatives? that's very whiteman's burdeny.

Oh, and Byte, yeah, what she said.
