It irritates me that that movie was called The Last King of Scotland, now that is deceptive advertising if I ever saw it, I mean, if that were really what the movie was about I'd totally have gone to the theater to watch it. But its not about that and that bothers me, those tricksters, sneaky as folk.

Dang it - I posted a response this morning, but now it's been eaten by the interwebz!

Riona - Idi Amin bestowed the title upon himself, among a number of other unearned titles. He said that he had crowned himself "King of Scotland". Hence the biography of him being named that. Odd, yes, but he was a very odd duck.

I think it wasn't that he like Scotland, but rather that he DISLIKED England, and liked to do things to poke them with sticks.
