At least the mass murder in 2007 didn't lead to a change in policy.

It's a bad sign when google offers this as a search result for your school, ahead of the school itself:

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.

Hello,

I am not sure I understand what you are suggesting here?

Could you elaborate, as to how this is a victory for the 2nd Amendment ? I'm not sure your point is fully understood.

Also,

Virginia Tech was fined A$54,000 by the Education Department over its handling of the 2007 massacre.

An administrative hearing over the 2007 shooting started yesterday as the college appeals the fine.

How can a university be 'fined' by the Education Dept for a mass murder ? And where does this figure come from... $54,000 ? Seems rather silly.

Actually a number of polies changed and people seem to be pretty satisfied with the school's ability to notify students and faculty, lock itself down, and with the immediate police response.

This story is not about a campus shooting, its about a traffic stop gone bad and a reminder that cops put their lives on the line for even the most routine encounters.

What's strange is that the man who shot the officer wasn't involved in the traffic stop at all. He apparently just walked up and shot him, and when spotted by police shot himself.

Wait, the gunman they were looking for was one of the originally dead at the scene ? If the cops spotted him, what was the search about ?

That IS strange.

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

From what I heard, he ran away, the search ensued, and he shot himself somewhere else, where they found him. That could be wrong, just what I heard. Poor fucked-up bastard.

Weird thing 1 is, I thought there were 2 dead at the initial scene, not 1 dead cop, and then another guy, sometime later.

Weird thing 2, they're still not releasing this guy's name. Even though they claim they have confirmation of I.D.
