I've noticed it as well. My "spirit of Christmas" seems to have taken the form of pneumonia this year. I've been running a fever for ten days now, coughing up my lungs. I've actually pulled muscles in my back from coughing so much, so it feels like I have bruised ribs every time I cough. Sleeping is accomplished sitting up, lest I drown in my own fluids...

Not very fun, really. I thought it was on the mend last week, but it's just not going away. I'm exhausted. Just a few more days to go, and then I'll get a few days off.

Hey Tony, I had pneumonia TWICE, and I ain't as tough as Mike. No worries.
Both times I got lots of beer into me, followed by vitamins & water. The alcohol dried up my phlegm, the vitamins kept me going, and the water flushed me out. Plus- good sleep (which, if you've ever had pneumonia, you know is nearly impossible).

I've noticed a bit of, shall we say, "lessening" with Rap too; wasn't sure if it was just me, but given it's not, my thanx as well.

Mike: You may well have broken a rib or more. I did just by coughing, and was startled when my doc found the busted rib, I asked how the hell I could have done that, and she said "just by coughing". Never thought it was possible, but it very much IS, so take care!

Also, that sick for that long is something to be concerned about. There are more things out there than pneumonia, flu, etc. which can cause it, so I hope you've seen a doctor, and I hope you haven't just taken their word for what it is. Be well!

Thanks, y'all - Turns out it's viral. Not fun, but some great drugs if you like hydrocodone in a liquid form.

Niki: Yup, I've seen doctors. And they in turn have seen me. It's a bit alarming when more and more people start coming in, wheeling more and more carts with more and more equipment, running more and more tests.Oh

Oh, and no broken ribs. They took X-rays and everything...

Meanwhile, I just slept four hours in a row, which I consider quite a win. A few more days of that, and I'll be well-rested!

Anyhoo, we'll see how it goes after a few days. I didn't mean to threadjack, and Rap has earned a decency thread, so get back to it. I'm going back to bed; hopefully sleep will follow me there.
