Remember, you're talking about Republicans here, a people who, as a group, are so unfailingly stupid that many of them still believe to this day that Saddam attacked us on 9/11. One of these dolts told me yesterday that North Korea is "trying to bomb us" with nuclear weapons.

They really are this stupid. Why would you expect them to believe the recent past, much less remember it? If FauxNews shows a tape of Dubya in front of the Mission Accomplished banner and tells them that he never made such an appearance, they will go out and insist at the top of their lungs that he never appeared in front of any such banner. They have a pathological NEED to believe whatever Fox tells them to believe.
