I first had my reservations about him when he convinced Bush41 to call off the beat down of the Iraqi army , back in Gulf War 1. It lead to us having to go back, 10 years later.

If I recall rightly, Bush sr. was convinced that we could not win in the Middle East.

No, what "lead" to us "having to" go back was the inbred idiocy of Dubya and his cronies. There was no need for us to go back.

I love how Rappy thinks that saying "This isn't debatable" ends all debate or conversation.

OF COURSE it's debatable. HW Bush left Saddam in power for very real reasons: specifically, because he was smarter than his idiot son, and knew that removing him from power would create a power vacuum and bring with it generations of chaos in the region.

Or are you suggesting that was the aim all along, to create a nightmare scenario in Iraq, making it worse than it was before? If so, "Mission Accomplished!"

All really good and valid statements; personally, I think that going into Iraq (the way we did and with no strategy to leave, especially) was a stupid move, and THAT's not debatable!
