Well it looks like Mississippi (which already has a known problem with racial "issues" regarding school discipline policies) finally got busted on their own juvie railroading system

Feds: Authorities in Meridian, Miss. Violated Rights of Black Children

Of course, WHERE they were incarcerated hasn't become an issue... yet.
Especially since apparently in a lot of these cases they skipped the hellcamps and kicked these kids straight into fucking prison (no doubt a for-profit one) without so much as a how-ya-do, in much the same fashion as the Luzerne county mess and often for little more than bullshit like dress code violations or profanity.

And folks wonder why the younger generations despise us so.
You make everything a crime, you make everyone a criminal, and by doing so you demean the rule of law entire.
Then THAT leads folks to question what purpose the rule of law serves saves as a tool of oppression.
And so are Anarchists born.

Augustus is actually going to go down there, I don't envy him, but I hope it does some good.
And given the conduct in question, those bastards DESERVE the dogpile that Sharpton, Jackson and Farrakhan are likely to deliver unto them, complete with grandstanding and media whoring - but what the hell, if it brings the spotlight of public ire down upon those who so badly have it coming, let them have their big show, sure.

Shameful Treatment of Children in Meridian, Miss. Is Not the Only Example of School-to-Prison Pipeline =>
http://www.youthtoday.org/view_blog.cfm?blog_id=607

In recent years, juvenile justice advocates, lawyers, policy-makers, and reformers
have increasingly sought to raise awareness of the American phenomenon of the “school-
to-prison pipeline.”

The term refers generally to the process in which substandard public schools fail
to provide adequate support and resources for at-risk children and their families,
resulting in high drop-out rates and ultimately leading to court-involvement, detention
and incarceration.

More specifically, the term refers to the pattern in which students who have committed
school-based wrongdoing — whether by pushing another child in the hallway, taking a
pencil from a teacher’s desk, or disrupting class — are summarily arrested, charged
with violating a criminal offense, and prosecuted in juvenile delinquency court.

Oonj: The Gods must be crazy to let our species rise to the top.
I was just thinking, Which ape species is the meanest? Not orangutans, not gorillas.
It's gotta be between the baboons and the chimps, right? Are any of them as bad as us?
We eat our own young and everyone else's. Sumpin' bad wrong here.

Hamlet, "What a piece of work is a man, how noble in reason, how infinite in faculties,
in form and moving how express and admirable, in action how like an angel, in appre-
hension how like a god!" (So much for poetry!)

Jayne Cobb, "I do not get it. How’s a guy get so wrong ..."
