Biden's bizarre question angers father of Navy SEAL who died in Benghazi attack
VP made inappropriate comment to Charles Woods, father of SEAL Tyrone

The father of one of the Navy SEALs who was killed in the Libya consulate attack has criticised the White House reaction to his son's death - especially a bizarre and obscene comment Joe Biden made to him.
Charles Woods, father of Tyrone Woods, said he thought Barack Obama had 'no remorse' over the attack and felt Hillary Clinton was 'not telling the truth'.

And he revealed that at the ceremony for the return of Tyrone's body, the Vice President approached his family and asked, 'Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?'
Mr Woods added that the President seemed cold and distant at the time, saying: 'Shaking hands with him, quite frankly, was like shaking hands with a dead fish.'

Mr Woods launched his blistering attack on the Obama administration during an interview with Glenn Beck on The Blaze yesterday.
Tyrone died on September 11 alongside his colleague Glen Doherty while the pair were protecting a CIA building next to the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

Ambassador Chris Stevens and diplomat Sean Smith were also killed in the raid, which has become a controversial issue in next month's presidential election due to ongoing confusion over how much the administration knew about the circumstances of the attack..

balls the size of cue balls.

500 trillion dollars.

"Stand up!" , to a guy in a wheel chair...

Folks, what more does it take ? This has gone light years beyond " Joe being Joe ".

The guy is a bonafide moron. He's beyond embarrassing, and is flat out offensive. I don't know how Mr Woods held back from knocking the hell out of Biden upon being talked to so crudely, as his son's coffin is right there... I doubt the SS would have lifted a finger to come to Joe's aid, either.

JONGSSTRAW

Biden's an experienced statesman when it comes to foreign policy. He has studied and learned the lessons of history. He took a page from Julius Caesar..."all of Gaul is divided into three parts" and he emulated those words on the floor of the US Senate as a solution for Iraq during the dark days of the insurgents' civilian killing spree. The long-needed military "surge" would eventually render Biden's plan moot, but at least he gave it a try.

Yes, it sounds like Biden's words were seriously misjudged. I imagine he was trying to be complimentary in a blokey kind of way and it backfired.

The father's views on the event differ from the mother's. Further down the article:

Quote:

His recollection of the reception differs sharply from that of Tyrone's mother, who last month took to Facebook to praise the officials who organised the event.

Writing about the repatriation of her son's body, Cheryl Croft Bennett said: 'The entire afternoon was overpowering and unreal.

'Little did I know that I would find myself in a reception room being comforted, hugged, and, yes, even kissed by the President of the United States. Along with the President, there was Vice-President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, and General and Mrs Colin Powell.

'They were all wonderful. They held my hand, offered condolences, gave warm hugs, and were extremely compassionate and genuinely sad for my loss, as I fought back tears and tried to project an image of strength to honor my SEAL son.'

Sounds like the father is hitting out in anger, quite understandably in grief over his son's death. Funny how different people perceive things differently.

Sounds as if she didn't hear the comment. Mr Woods also commented on hugging and shaking hands w/ the same folks, but that he felt Obama's hand was like a dead fish.

I think, in the end, despite what each parent may have FELT, the bottom line is, they deserve answers. Answers as to why no one came to evac the ambassador and those Americans in danger. Why it took the bravery of their son, and others, to fight back enough to allow some Americans to escape, as well as retrieve bodies of the fallen.

And what were the General and Mrs Colin Powell doing there ? That doesn't strike anyone as a bit unusual ? Do they attend the return of ALL such ceremonies ?

Why would it be out of the ordinary for them to attend such a high profile ceremony? You are really reaching now.

I'm not reaching in the least. It's a legitimate question. What business does Colin Powell have being there ? Care to answer the question ?

You mean former four star General Colin Powell? Former Secretary of State Colin Powell? Former Chairmen of the Joints Chiefs of Staff Colin Powell? A man that has dedicated his life to serve this country and you don't understand why he would want to pay his respects to hero who was doing the same?

That is reaching Rappy.

LOL. I think we have a week or so of increasingly hysteric reaches coming from the lad.

Note to anyone - Please pity the poor, poor wittle Rappyboy. He's feeling put upon lately, what with all those facts disagreeing with what he believes.

Still no answer. huh ? I'd have asked the same if Donald Rumsfeld had been there.

He is a noted statesman and wanted to pay his respects to a national hero.

That is the answer.

SOunds as though each parent has responded differently to grief, and one is hitting out in anger and perceives slights and coldness where there was none intended, but yes, I am sure that they do need answers.
