Hello,

According to this article, Obesity is a bigger threat than hunger, and is being seen as a massive health problem around the world. Even in some places you wouldn't expect.

Color me surprised. I thought it was just us.

That was surprising to me, too, Anthony. How sick is it that the greed of some is endangering them even more than the starvation of others?

I may be wrong about our society. Maybe we've become a sick GLOBAL society, or just a sick WORLD.

Tit for tat got us where we are today. If we want to be grownups, we need to resist the ugliness. If we each did, this would be a better reflection on Firefly and a more welcome place. I will try.

I'm beginning to wonder if it's not merely the quantity of food, but also its quality, that is causing this. Or perhaps it's not merely food, but also a change in the rate at which we burn calories.

I think you're right, that it's both the quality of food and the fact that we exercise less than our forebearers, as well. And it seems like no effort, on the part of the government or individuals, is changing that much. Sadly.
