And you've just demonstrated the power of the celebrity endorsement tactic in advertising. You're allowing your positive feelings for Jane , as you remember from your youth, to over write and ignore her very real world views and actions. It's been used for ages, and we see it all the time today. From pushing products, political causes or endorsing candidates.

That means: No freedom of speech and of the press, no right to bear arms, no Fourth Amendment ban on “unreasonable searches and seizures,” and no right to a jury trial.

You're telling me that it was an 'intelligent voice' that chose to speak out against the Vietnam war via hopping on that AAA gun ?

I vehemently disagree that she "deserves better ". There are plenty of ways you can speak out against war w/ out giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
