That's a sad passing:
Quote:

Jonathan Winters, the wildly inventive actor and comedian who appeared in such films as "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" and "The Loved One" and played Robin Williams' son on the TV show "Mork & Mindy," has died. He was 87.

Winters died Thursday evening of natural causes at his home in Montecito, California, according to business associate Joe Petro III.

I wasn't a big fan, but I could recognize the talent and appreciate his hard work.

America loves a winner!

Had some great moments, to be sure. Don't think he was all there for most of his life, and probably wasn't anywhere there for the last part.

Weird, as I thought he had passed away some time ago, and then saw him briefly in some interview or some such. He was far more lucid and funnier than I had remembered. Must have been one of his 'good' days.

Curious guy. Wonder if we'll ever know more about his life, now that he's gone.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen

JONGSSTRAW

He was a great stand-up comedian in the 1950's and 1960's. He was often on Ed Sullivan, Johnny Carson, Carol Burnett and many game shows. His role in It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World is pure genius. He lived a good long life and was respected by his peers. That's a good epitaph for any man.
