"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

Man Uses Gun to Kill Himself at NASCAR Race Sponsored by NRA.

Quote:

April 14 (Reuters) - A Texas man used a gun to commit suicide in the infield of a National Rifle Association-sponsored NASCAR race at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth late on Saturday, local authorities said.

Kirk Franklin, 42, of nearby Saginaw died after shooting himself at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday during the NRA 500 Sprint Cup race, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

Franklin was involved in a verbal altercation with other race spectators before the incident, said Daniel Segura, a Fort Worth Police Department spokesman.

Franklin's body was found in the back seat of a truck, according to an online police report. (Reporting by Brendan O'Brien in Milwaukee; Editing by Edith Honan and Eric Walsh)

Maybe he was just trying to make sure they got their money's worth.

After all, the NRA and the teabillies love death more than the rest of us love life.

It's always sad to hear about someone dying like that, but yes, the irony is delicious.

The only thing more ironic would be if Wayne LaPierre was killed by a gun at an NRA event during the Star Spangled Banner. Now THAT would break my irony meter!

Horrible and sad. I wonder what was behind it? I'm afraid the irony escapes me, all I'm left with is the sadness.

Wouldn't find the proposed suggestion ironic either...now if he were to shoot himself in the foot while giving a demonstration of gun safety, I'd giggle my head off...

What a horrible story, I hope not too many children were scared by this.

It's not personal. It's just war.

Yeah... I totally tried to off myself by spooging so hard I'd shoot my face off to Liberal Propaganda in the RWED....

Shooting yourself is funny, isn't it?

My Uncle, who was a brother to me did that 5 years ago.

He didn't watch NASCAR, he believed in God...

He Loved "Sloop John B" by the Beach Boys,

but he was open to new songs too.....

His favorite song I gave him burned on the CD player I gave him for his BD one year....

He lived as long as he was making money.....

He paid rent to my grandma every month while he lived home. When my grams closed out all of his stuff he had $1.87 in his account. Never once did he beg for money or take freebies.

No, the incredible stupidity of a person who clings to his guns and god and NASCAR and offs himself in the middle of an orgy of his beliefs is funny. It's the pathetic stupidity, stupid.

I know you 1kiki....

I know there are about 100 people in your own life, most of them old and dying, that you'd love to pull the plug on.

That's called Judgement.... It's a right that you don't have.

Personally, although my uncles "easy" way out wasn't a "right" I think he deserved it. Like anything else in life he fucked that up too. He wheased like a mortally wounded animal for nearly 8 hours on life support (on the taxpayer's dime which he woudl have killed himself another 20 times for) until he died 4 hours later.

Personally, I'm glad that your life is still largely 99 Red Luft Balloons.

I lost my innocence at least 10 years ago....

Haha.... That would make me 23! I'd be lying if it was 10 years earlier....

By 8 years old, you know you parents aren't getting back together, and even if they spent the large part of your 3'rd year of living screaming at each other behind closed doors before suddenly dad wasn't living there.... well..

Actually... I feel sorry for every single one of you in the RWED (without knowing you beforehand).

My miserable childhood might right be equal to one of you. I should give you all a chance.

Worse than a sad lot, they're absolutely revolting and disgusting. The so-called tolerant and enlightened left is nothing but a sick and twisted joke. A bunch of infantile idiots, they exist in a matrix of delusion and insanity they create for themselves to avoid the realities of their pathetic existence. If people don't believe things as they do they want them dead so they can have a good laugh over it. I'll wager that after their laughing subsides, the frantic dildoing of their own asses commences. I'd call them the lowest form of life I've ever seen, except that they're all dead already.

If Saddam had infected himself with weaponized anthrax, or Obama wound up personally destitute and homeless I'm sure you'd see the irony of that.

Maybe you did get raped Signy. I never got a finger or a dick up my butt, but that's about it....

I'm sorry if you got RAPED.....

I'd love to walk you through you a year of my childhood....

Then, if you met me in person and asked yourself why I didn't have my own TV show or at the very least wasn't living the high life off of a hollywood bird's income and enjoying her "help" on the side, you would have your answer...

Sure, that might be aiming high.... but if I set my lowest standards to 32 years old, I would never have to work a day again in my life....

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

"If people don't believe things as they do they want them dead so they can have a good laugh over it."

Yes, because us liberals are all about guns and NASCAR, evilly plotting to make people stupid and get them to kill themselves and each other in violent and effective ways. Yes, you can put that all on us. It's all over our history. We have plotted to encourage guns, encourage violence, discourage education and worse - MAKE PEOPLE DO THAT TO THEMSELVES.

Or, maybe we've been horrified at gun deaths, trying to get them to slow down at least a little bit, watched in utter disbelief as people keep adamantly INSISTENTLY marching over the cliff of gun deaths, and when it finally takes a pointed and bizarre turn, laugh in disbelief, b/c WTF just happened? REALLY? Could it GET any stranger?

You pick.

ETA: I doubt you'll understand this Jongsie, but I didn't laugh b/c a person was dead. I laughed in utter disbelief at the sheer stupidity of it all. I can't even imagine a 'liberal' equivalent - Liberal dies from too much peace? Liberal dies from not enuf pollution? Liberal dies b/c someone didn't shoot them with a gun? But go right back to your dark sex-fantasies and bilious rage that you seem to retreat into from time to time. I hope it's OK with you that I don't take it personally. You've done this often enuf w/enuf different people and enuf different topics that it seems to be just something about you.

Actually, I feel sorry for the poor sod who shot himself. Which is one of the reasons why I would find LaPierre's shooting death not only wildly ironic but also a form of poetic justice. (In programming it would be called recursion, in electronics it would be called negative feedback, and in the application of violence it would be called blowback.) LaPierre, either through an overabundance of hypocrisy or an overabundance of wild-eyed belief, is promoting the kind of response which is only going to get (more, other) people killed. Would be damn funny if it happened to him.

You're savvier than I am, Kiki. Jong continues to elude me; sometimes he makes so much sense, and does it so eloquently, then he turns around and spews venom worthy of...well, I dunno, I suppose Kane or Six or someone...and it makes no sense at all. Jong will always be a mystery to me.

Sig, "negative feedback"--now that DID make me giggle. And I guess I'm not a good enough "librul", since I don't find anyone dying for any reason amusing, even if it is ironic--by the way, I didn't think the two were synonymous. It's not possible to find something horribly, sadly ironic, without finding it the slightest bit amusing? Or is that only allowed for "conservatives"? It's so complex sometimes, the stereotype we're supposed to cleave to...
