"These scandals were bound to happen. In fact, it was inevitable, and there will be more. President Obama has grown the size, the scope, the debt and the power of the federal government to such irresponsible proportions that problems like these are an inevitable result."

It has nothing to do with philosophy. The previous president did exactly the same damn thing, with the opposite "philosophy."

Hey, hey, hey, don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Thank you, HKC!

So, Jongsstraw... any comments about Bush's military buildup, pressure for a "unitary executive", warrantless wiretapping, torture, international secret prisons, detention without charges, and the HUGE HUGE hole he put into the Federal budget?

Why, he's even found a way to use the Loch Ness Monster to prove creationism in "Lousyana" schools!

He's still trying to live down his Fisher-Price "My First State of the Union Rebuttal"™ performance, where he spoke like a dazzled three year-old or Kenneth the NBC page: "When I was just a little boy..."

Mitt Romney, introducing his running mate: "Join me in welcoming the next President of the United States, Paul Ryan!"

Rappy's response? "You're lying, gullible ( believing in some BS you heard on msnbc ) or hard of hearing."

Oh, come on, Signy - When a Republican does any of those things, it's just the cost of freedom! (If a Dem does any of them, though, it's a "scandal" and "worse than Watergate")

Heck, Peggy Noonan says Iran-Contra was just a "mistake" by Reagan, nothing more than a harmless little slip-up or senior moment. It's not like he was arming terrorists or anything!

And every conservative on this site would still drop to their knees to suck off zombie Reagan in a heartbeat. Jongsie and Rappy would be first in line, no doubt. They absolutely worship the doddering old dolt (but that's not why they'd be on their knees).

No, he didn't.

This has zero to do w/ Bush, so enough already. THIS President, THIS administration, targeted individuals and groups like we've not seen - ever. Maybe during the Nixon or LBJ era, where Hoover ran the FBI. But this... is worse. It's not just one tyrant, but many little tyrants, all acting on behalf of their lord and master. BIG GOVT.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen
