In an interview on Good Morning America today (6/21/2013)...

During the interview, Madonna addressed the controversy over the violent, gun-laden opening act of her show, which critics said was disrespectful in the wake of the Aurora and Sandy Hook shootings.

'Guns don't kill people, people kill people,' responded Madonna. 'The whole first section of the show is like an action movie and I was playing a super vixen who wanted revenge.'

Taking out the gun scene 'is not going to change anything,' she said. 'This all comes from fear and ignorance and people not raising their children and paying attention to what's going on.'

Looks like the Material Girl has picked up some wisdom in her old age, in addition to a British accent.
