Deceptive much ?

Quote:

But what about the strippers?

That's what The Hill newspaper asked one of the bill's co-sponsors, Sen. John McCain, in a piece published Thursday. The question came from a separate 2011 story where the publication suggested strippers could suffer in a bill-less economy, with G-strings and garter belts far less accommodating of cold metal.

He was asked the question, and he answered it.

Your post gives the impression that he's supporting the idea, and that strippers getting bigger tips is some benefit HE offered up.

He didn't.

So he doesn't support the idea, and he thinks strippers deserve smaller tips.

Again, deceptive and inaccurate.

From the linked story ...

Officially called the Currency Optimization, Innovation, and National Savings Act, the COINS Act has been put before Congress multiple times in recent years. In the Senate it was most recently introduced in June as S.1105 by Tom Harkin, D-Iowa. McCain's fellow co-sponsors in the Senate are Michael Enzi, R-Wyoming, and Mark Udall, D-Colorado.

McCain is a co-sponsor to the bill. Clearly, he's for working women getting BIGGER tips, not smaller.

I don't see where my original post suggested that. I QUOTED a headline. I posted a link that virtually repeated the headline, but is the URL. I wrote "The whole story is at..."

Frankly, I thought it was charming: John McCain, a nice old Republican, concerned about the consequences of an Obama economic policy on working women. Young, scantily-dressed ones, at least.

Headline was misleading as was your post.

Do you think this is funny? Or that you're being clever ?

I suppose, if you're a 15 yr old, you'd think so.

However, McCain is concerned with how Obama's economic policies AREN'T working, which is the point.

But it seems you think this is what passes for ' journalism ' today, so be it.

It's not a benefit he's offering, but he co-sponsored the bill. He's not for bigger tips, except that he is.

Ol' John was against it before he was for it, is that right? Or is it just that you got caught on it, and had to change your position from no to yes in only 12 minutes?
What was It I wrote just the other day? Something about "almost zero credibility?"

I find it hard to believe that you're actually this stupid.

Have we discussed Grand Fenwick here before?

from Wikipedia:

Quote:

The Duchy of Grand Fenwick is a tiny fictional country created by Leonard Wibberley in a series of comedic novels. The Duchy takes its name from its founder, the English knight Sir Roger Fenwick who, while employed by France, settled there with his followers in 1370. The national flag of Grand Fenwick is A double-headed eagle[2] saying "Aye" from one beak and "Nay" from another. Sir Roger recorded that (the first of) only three things he learned in his two years at Oxford University:

" That "Aye" might be turned into "Nay" and vice versa if a sufficient quantity of wordage was applied to the matter."

But it does take longer than 12 minutes.
[img][/img]

DAmn, tried to post a link to the flag, the way Haken's instruction box says to. Doesn't work. Try this, it's a hoot, and worth a look.

So, BTW, are the books, play and movies, if you'd care to run 'em down. SOme clips and trailers on YouTube.

MY posts weren't contradictory in the least. Troll reaver here was making up shit on his own, and then trying to arbitrarily assign meaning to things not said.
