It'd be nice if everyone woke up and saw what was going on. ... Yeah it would be nice, but anyone who hasn't woken up by now ain't gonna wake up any time soon. Like Mitchell, half the country is happy to put liberal agendas, lies, distortions, and Govt. freebies ahead of all other considerations. Conservatives, Tea Party, Republicans, whatever... they have huge problems with communication and persuasiveness. Obama gives a press conference yesterday, and he demagogues and lies for over an hour. He's never challenged on anything by the press. But he's articulate and he's on the offensive. Compare that to Boehner's press conference yesterday. He speaks the truth, but does anyone care or even understand? He's comes off as raw and gruff and defensive and un-friendly. He cannot articulate in an effective and persuasive way the difference between Republicans and Democrats. He can't, Romney couldn't, and McCain couldn't either. And Paul Ryan can't, neither can Eric Cantor. None of them can sell it to the masses, and until they figure out how to do that, or someone emerges who has those skills, we won't win national elections and the American people back from where Obama and the Left have brought the country.

I dunno Jongs, when Jon Stewart goes as far in saying Kathleen just LIED to all of us... That's not a ringing endorsement of the admin.

If the Left loses Stewart, that's no small potatoes.

Stewart's audience is mostly dopeheads. Comedy Central survives because they cater to the doper crowd with a seemingly endless supply of Seth Rogan and Justin Long pot-themed movie reruns. The only entity more meaningless than Comedy Central is MSNBC.

Yeah, G; what Rap and his buddies have never understood is that Stewart--AND Colbert--are quite willing to go after ANYONE when they think they're wrong. They had a BALL with Filner, Weiner and others. "The Left" won't "lose" Stewart, he calls 'em like he sees 'em and has been quite happy to skewer Obama or anyone else at any given time. And we're quite happy to HAVE him skewer anyone and everyone in politics. Anyone who attempted to be a right-leaning political pundit/comedian would be in trouble the first time he said Word One against anyone on The Right, but we appreciate them calling out idiots on either side.

That's the problem when you're blindly partisan; anyone who's not always completely 100% on your side, is The Enemy. Complete lack of perspective; their loss.

What's amusing about it is how consistently Rap puts Stewart down; suddenly he MEANS SOMETHING...but the minute he skewers anyone on the right again, Rap will go back to dissing him. That's how they play the game, and we all know it. Of course, shows that win awards only cater to dope heads, you know...

Oh, beautifully written, G, and right on point. I agree 100% about the skits--I only watch Stewart and Colbert a few days later on On Demand, so I can fast forward through the idiocy. I couldn't name another show on Comedy Central either, I find 99% of just the ADS for what they do offensive. But Stewart and Colbert are the only places (besides the internet it seems) where I can find honest dissection of the idiocy going on, so I value them.
