God works in mysterious ways...
Quote:

Craig Cobb, the white separatist and hate crimes fugitive living in Leith, says a DNA test that shows he is part black is not good news and he plans to take more reputable tests to see if the results are accurate.

Cobb, who's created upheaval in the Grant County town since buying property so he can take over Leith with other neo-Nazis and racists, submitted to a DNA test for the national TV Trisha Goddard talk show.

Goddard revealed the results in a follow-up taped segment that will be aired Nov. 18, but clips of her reading the results to Cobb are showing up on websites.

In it, she laughingly tries to fist-bump Cobb and says, “You've got a little black in you.” Cobb pulls away and won’t fist-bump back.

The tests show Cobb is 14 percent Sub-Saharan African and the remainder European.

Cobb said he regrets that he was “guileless” enough to believe that the Ancestry by DNA test would be scientific, and says he'll have up to three other DNA tests for comparison. He said he’s already submitted two samples, but his saliva didn’t produce enough DNA.

Cobb said he’ll make the results public.

“I had no idea or I wouldn’t have gone and done that and I still don’t believe it,” he said.

“I’ll find out with real science and get the whole DNA map,” he said.

Bobby Harper, a black man who lives in Leith, said he thought Cobb’s DNA result was hilarious.

“I knew there was one other black person in town. Is he going to want to kick his own self out of town and discriminate against himself?” Harper said.

Harper said while he finds humor in the results, he said Cobb could have some issues to contend with.

“He’ll have to deal with what he wants to be and admit what he can’t be. He’s going to have to deal with it,” Harper said.

Harper said he figures he’s in Leith because God has a plan for him and “this is it. Cobb could have been 14 percent Native American or something else. “

Cobb said he plans to “continue on either way.”

He said the results, if accurate, could explain his hatred of blacks, because tribal Africans were hostile to other tribes and feel contempt toward American blacks of mixed tribes.

Cobb said he’d understand if he’s rejected by other white separatists and neo-Nazis because humans should be able to exclude others by choice. He’d also be too black to belong to his own racialist Creativity religion.

“Who knows, I can be an active border guard for people more pure than I,” he said.

Asked about the implications for Leith, Cobb wondered if he’ll be target of “discrimination against octoroons in Leith.”

Octoroons are people with one black great-grandparent. http://bismarcktribune.com/news/state-and-regional/dna-finds-craig-cob

'Ya gotta love it:

Quote:

Craig Cobb, 62, submitted to the test as part of The Trisha Show’s ongoing Race in America series and was given the results of the DNA Diagnostics test by the host, Trisha Goddard, to the whoops of her studio audience.

On hearing the results Cobb immediately dismissed the news that genetically he is 14 per cent Sub Saharan African, 86 per cent European, as ‘statistical noise.’

He said: ‘I tell you. Oil and water don’t mix.’

With a fixed grin Cobb, a man who relies on a dizzying array of statistics to underpin his own agenda of racial discrimination and sexual intolerance, shook his head and tried to wave these ones away.

As the studio audience jeered and crowed in delight, Goddard insisted: ‘You have a little black in you.’

When the 55-year-old British host tried to fist bump her guest, with the words, ‘So there you go bro,’ Cobb visibly recoiled and twice refused to meet her touch.

Speaking to MailOnline Cobb said: 'I agreed to the test because I assumed it was science.' Instead, he said, it was a scientifically bankrupt procedure, the product of 'craven and debased executives,' whose 'goal is to shock.'

He said: 'When I told Jeff Schoep [leader of the National Socialism Movement] he just laughed.'

He described it as 'short science' used by a sensationalist television show to 'promote multiculturalism.'

When pressed over how he would feel if a test he respected were to show the presence of such DNA he said: 'Well if I did have any n**** we don't want anymore of it.'

He would, he said, consider himself a 'border guard for the pure breds.'

He explained: 'Keeping the peace if possible but if we have to fight, keeping the frontline in the war.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2493491/White-supremacist-Crai

Prolly a safe bet that that 14% isn't 'tween his legs, huh?

I'd not be surprised if I didn't have some native American in my ancestry. I see that ad on t.v. for that home dna kit, which only runs about 100 bucks. Anyone try this on themselves ? I wonder if it'd be accurate enough to give such info...

How is it funny ? I state I'd not be surprised, where as Liz - Lies When Speaking - Warren flatly states she's 1/32nd Indian ( sorry, I should have said that the 1st time... 'America' is a derivative for an Italian name, Amerigo ) , with out ANY proof, and specifically to gain from it, financially as well as politically.

If you can't see the difference, you're even LESS intelligent than I had imagined.

Problem is, it's not hypocrisy. Seriously, talk about not knowing definitions.

I'm not CLAIMING anything,as did LIES WHEN SPEAKS Warren. Nor am I promoting myself as being something / someone I'm not.

All I did was freely admit, that if I have some Indian blood, it would not shock me. I'm not touting it, as some great thing, or ashamed of it, in the least. It is what it is.

Seriously storybook, you do seek the most inane things to pick fights over.

Amerigo Vespucci (Italian pronunciation: [ame'rigo ves'putt?i]) (March 9, 1454 – February 22, 1512) was an Italian explorer, financier, navigator and cartographer who first demonstrated that Brazil and the West Indies did not represent Asia's eastern outskirts as initially conjectured from Columbus' voyages, but instead constituted an entirely separate landmass hitherto unknown to Afro-Eurasians. Colloquially referred to as the New World, this second super continent came to be termed "America", probably deriving its name from the feminized Latin version of Vespucci's first name.[1][2] -

I think I communicated this badly. I know who Amerigo Vespucci was. Who doesn't. I was wondering whether you were seriously suggesting that "Indian" is in any way more appropriate term than "Native American"? Technically, you're right. That IS the story Ms Warren is telling everyone, isn't it?

My mom knew a lady who swore she ( the lady ) had a lineage to the lost tribes of Israel.

She wasn't Jewish. Up until she 'discovered' this news, it was believed her ancestry was of European descent. In short, she just 'decided' this to be true, and started telling folks this 'amazing' news. The lady had recently gone through a divorce, as it seems, and was a bit... disturbed.

Point is, I don't buy Ms Warren's claim. She's waved her lineage around and used it as a free pass to get benefits she'd otherwise not have received. She's done next to NOTHING to associate herself with " her people " , but sure as heck, she's benefited from her claimed association. It's pathetic, really.

Going back to a different , non-thread related issue, but on the matter of the NFL's Washington Redskins debate, I heard comments by some who say they preferred being called 'Indian' rather than 'native Americans', when speaking of ALL those living here pre-1492. Obviously, when speaking of specific peoples, tribes, nations... say Seminoles, they'll want to be called that instead.

Hope that clears things up for ya.

Additionally - you call her a liar because she couldn't possibly have any Cherokee in her family (despite the fact that statistically, a whole hell of a lot of people do), but you might, based on even less evidence than she has.

Point of another fact - you STILL haven't, after YEARS, posted our non-religious definition of marriage. Will you ever stop dodging that one?

Isn't it often said that there's more genetic variation within homogenous populations that between "races"? Once we leave close relatives out of the picture, it's really irrelevant who we pick to love and make babies with.

Talk of genetic superiority is indeed inducing the queasiness. If - big If - there is a statistical significance in the numbers, there could be all kinds of explanations, including the idea that being exposed to two (or more!) different parental cultures, would challenge a human being growing up more than a single parental culture would.

Jumping to genes as an explanation right away.. why? Just to spite the racists? Isn't that playing their own game?

Fighting fire with fire, I suppose. I see what you mean, but taking their argument and forcing it back in their face shows them to be the frauds they are.

Still waiting for Storybook to clarify " hypocrisy " for me in this thread, and for Frem to show where I've "fallen" for any race argument.

Anyone else notice how many talented folks come from mixed race backgrounds? Maybe there's some genetics theory to explain it... just saying... *whistles dixie softly*

I don't know how many Cablinasians ( like Tiger Woods ) play golf very well, save for one. We notice stand outs like Tiger, because of how talented they are, as well as for their mixed race. But does that mean they really are more talented, as a group, than anyone else ?

That would be interesting to know.

The theory is called 'Hybrid Vigour', and yes it's to do with the vitality of breeding with someone with more genetic differences to you. Here's a documentary:

And an article: http://raceandscience.channel4.com/media/pdfs/IstItBetterToBeMixedRace

I think there's something to it. But then I'm likely to be biased on the matter...

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Interesting the gloms of Eastern European and Middle Eastern in there, and very little Sub-Saharan.

I just think anyone who has convinced themselves they're "all" of ANYTHING is delusional at this point, there's been so much interbreeding. And I'd be willing to bet MOST Yankees would end up with some amount or other of Sub-Saharan, which is amusing given what you hear from the racists every day.

My guess is that Japanese are more " pure " than most. They seem to think so, at least. Culturally, if not by genetics.

And what of aboriginal folk if Australia ? They seem to be associated with those from India , maybe? No idea, just speculatin'.

from Wiki:

Quote:

The origin of Aboriginal peoples in Australia has been the subject of intense speculation since the nineteenth century. Until recently[when?], no theory of migration had gained wide acceptance. Genetic studies had shown the Aboriginal peoples to be related much more closely to each other than to any peoples outside Australia, but scholars had disagreed whether their closest kin outside Australia were certain South Asian groups, or instead, certain African groups. The latter would imply a migration pattern in which their ancestors passed through South Asia to Australia without intermingling genetically with other populations along the way.[11] A 2009 genetic study in India found similarities among Indian archaic populations and Aboriginal people, indicating a Southern migration route, with expanding populations from Southeast Asia migrating to Indonesia and Australia.
In a genetic study in 2011, researchers found evidence, in DNA samples taken from strands of Aboriginal people's hair, that the ancestors of the Aboriginal population split off from the ancestors of the European and Asian populations between 62,000 and 75,000 years ago—roughly 24,000 years before the European and Asian populations split off from each other. These Aboriginal ancestors migrated into South Asia and then into Australia, where they stayed, with the result that, outside of Africa, the Aboriginal peoples have occupied the same territory continuously longer than any other human populations. These findings suggest that modern Aboriginal peoples are the direct descendants of migrants who arrived around 50,000 years ago.[12] This finding is supported by earlier archaeological finds of human remains near Lake Mungo that date to 45,000 years ago. The same genetic study of 2011 found evidence that Aboriginal peoples carry some of the genes associated with the Denisovan peoples of Asia; the study suggests that there is an increase in allele sharing between the Denisovans and the Aboriginal Australians genome compared to other Eurasians and Africans. The Papuans have more sharing alleles than Aboriginal peoples. The data suggests that modern and archaic humans interbred in Asia before the migration to Australia.[13]
