That's putting it kind of generously. He admitted nothing. He posted someone else's apology and then slung insults at "the world of academia" for whatever reason, putting satire into quote marks, as if that status was still somehow questionable. If there was admitting going on, it was done with astonishing contortions to make it seem as indirect and unrelated to Auraptor himself as possible. Trying to weasel out of his own mistake like that? Kind of worth mocking.
