Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

I know nothing about him as a person, only from weather reports and his tornado stuff on TV, but his presence of mind made me giggle:
Quote:

Jim Cantore, weather stud! During a live report on bad weather in South Carolina Tuesday night, a young man jumped into the shot and Cantore kneed the kid in the groin.

Cantore is in Charleston reporting on Winter Storm Leon. He was giving an update from the College of Charleston campus when a guy, apparently a college student, came running at him, hollering.

In a flash, Cantore lifted his leg and kneed the dude right in his cumulonimbus. The kid just kept running and Cantore just kept talking.

“Obviously, here at the College of Charleston they are already having a good time,” said the cool-as-ice meteorologist.

No word on the status of the kid’s low pressure system.

The National Weather Service rated Cantore’s kick an F5. http://www.kansascity.com/2014/01/28/4783254/weather-channels-jim-cant

Well, he definately has that old-school reporters poise, that guy could be standing in the middle of a hurricane throwing buildings around and wouldn't be fazed.

I think it's a fairly safe bet he HAS been, Frem...certainly I've seen him totally unperturbed standing AWFULLY close to tornadoes! ;o)
