Sometimes you own the libs. Sometimes, the libs own you.

An interesting argument...

Quote:

This week, a House Select Committee will begin investigating the thoroughly investigated Benghazi pseudo-scandal. It's sure to be a mountain of political theater, a source of aggravation for liberals, and a pain-in-the-butt for administration officials who are asked to testify or produce documents.

And it's probably good for America.

The Benghazi inquiry is, fundamentally, a throwback to a younger more innocent times in high-stakes congressional conflict when a House Republican majority impeached a president over a small potatoes sex scandal. It was a farce and a distraction, but ultimately nothing about it derailed the basic functioning of the American government or imperiled the welfare of the American people.

By contrast, the Obama-era GOP has generally manifested a much greater degree of seriousness. Rather than harass the White House with nonsense inquiries, they've repeatedly focused on questions of substance — frequently by demanding large public policy concessions as the price to be paid to avoid creating a situation of mass financial chaos by refusing to raise the statutory debt ceiling.

There was something a little silly about those hostage crises, but they were fundamentally serious matters — primarily in the sense that they had serious negative consequences for the world.

Revisionist history.

Clinton was not impeached over a sex scandal.

Benghazi is anything BUT a pseudo scandal.

The media are lying.

Period.

It's only complicated because those who f'd up are trying to cover their collective asses.

In truth, it's very simple.

The admin was totally incompetent , people died, they lied about the YT video to give themselves coner, the msm ( mostly ) willingly played along, because they wanted to keep Barry & Michelle in the WH , and they didn't want a mark on Hillary's SecState record.

Each new administration puts in place a new Secretary of State. What they do is represent the United States abroad. Not turn things upside down in an agency that has been up and running for as long as the State Department has. They may only be there for four years. Each new secretary would not have any time to traverse the globe representing the current administration.

So far there is very little to suggest that Hillary Clinton is responsible for all the bad choices made in Bengasi. It is so easy for those who only wish to criticize to forget she was also dealing with the rest of the world at the same time. Those of us who are in the middle are reminded of White Water with each new investigation. It only made Bill Clinton more popular. The country voted for him to be President and got pissed off at the haters and supported him more. Two years and counting with this, Keep up the good work.

The State Department was created in 1789 as the Department of Foreign Affairs. It was given responsibilities within the US and renamed in 1789.

Office of American Affairs
Office of Asia and Pacific Affairs
Office of European Affairs
Office of Middle East and African Affairs
Office of ASEAN Affairs
Office of United Nations and International Organizations.
The line offices are the following:
Office of Personnel and Administrative Services
Office of Legal Affairs
Office of Consular Affairs
DFA Office of Protocol

The late Amb Stevens asked for more security , from the Sec State.

Hillary denied his request.

She's to blame for that, and a lot more.

And we still don't know why he was even there , in Libya, when all our allies had left the country for the 9/11 anniversary.

Don't be so sure. It all depends on the November election. If Barry loses the Senate, he will be impeached, convicted, and removed from office. Holder and Rice will be right behind him. Could all be wrapped up by February or March. Morning Joe might need to buy a bigger table and a few more chairs.

Each new administration puts in place a new Secretary of State.

OK, you are starting to get a clue. Secretary of State is not just a receptionist type of secretary, it is the title for the head of the Department of State, which is a Cabinet level position. This SECRETARY is RESPONSIBLE for the actions and misdeeds and faulty policies of the State Department under their watch, and which they are dictating to the State Department. Others in the State Department can and are fired by the Secretary if they are not in accordance with the Secretary's goals and rules.
Quote:

What they do is represent the United States abroad. Not turn things upside down in an agency that has been up and running for as long as the State Department has.

Really??? You mean nothing changes? You mean Ambassadors (which are the Secretary's subordinates) are never replaced? Ambassadors just stay in office forever? Golly, that amazing - do you have references to indicate this is true, that you didn't just tell a whopper?
Quote:

They may only be there for four years. Each new secretary would not have any time to traverse the globe representing the current administration.

So far there is very little to suggest that Hillary Clinton is responsible for all the bad choices made in Bengasi.

This incident you refer to was the AMERICAN EMBASSY - AKA the only AMERICAN SOIL located in that country. This is property and RESPONSIBILITY of the SECRETARY of STATE, therefore everything there is the RESPONSIBILITY of the SECRETARY of STATE, including all the bad choices that the SECRETARY of STATE made, unless those folks were doing something or making choices which were in direct violation of the policies of the SECRETARY of STATE. If you are trying to claim that Hillary was too incompetent to hold responsibility, then there are millions of reasonable people who already agreed and knew that before she was selected or confirmed as Secretary.
Harry Truman said The Buck Stops Here, and the President's Desk, for all problems of the U.S. Government and his Administration. For State, the head of the Department is the Secretary.
The clue you seemed to have a crumb of before has been clearly lost.
Quote:

It is so easy for those who only wish to criticize to forget she was also dealing with the rest of the world at the same time.

Which other Ambassadors were being murdered at this time while she refused to allow American Security & Military forces to defend or evacuate them? Which others were being sodomized at this time? Which other Embassies were being told we'll get you help while being stabbed in the back by Hillary?
Quote:

Those of us who are in the middle are reminded of White Water with each new investigation.

Really? She obstructed Justice by hiding the records under subpoena in her closet inside the White House, so where is the parallel here? Which evidence is she hiding in Obama's closets inside the White House?
Quote:

It only made Bill Clinton more popular. The country voted for him to be President

Really? Is that why he got even less percentage of votes in 1996 than in 1992? If you are claiming that lower percentage of popular votes means "more popular" then you have clearly exposed yourself as a Looney Lying Lefty Libtard, in case it wasn't already obvious to everyone by now.

Are you confused about the meaning of words? Or did you mean alliterate, showing your illiteracy? Or you don't know how to spell dumbass?

The figurative use of dictate, which means to prescribe, indicates the cause-to-effect relationship of that which causes is dictating the following, the effect, and not that the effect dictates or prescribes the cause. The outcome is not the prescription for the action, but the action is the prescription for the outcome, or the causative action is what dictates the resulting outcome.

Do you understand American English?

Benghazi always was about 'a video' according to this administration.

5 Sunday morning shows, Susan Rice was on, preaching the exact same line.

Barry and Hillary even appeared in a commercial, saying how sorry we were ABOUT the video, and it aired in... Pakistan ???? ( WTF ? ) Seriously, can anyone explain why our Libyan Amb gets killed in Benghazi compels our admin to produce a infomercial to be played in Pakistan ???

- and this has zero to do w/ Iraq, WMD, or any other straw man argument you want to introduce, to try to divert focus away from your dear and fluffy leader.

Your list is not very good, but also, you miss the point.

Auraptor makes the point that the absence of a mention of the video in these court documents proves that it wasn't a factor. But the trial is not to determine what motivated the man, it's to determine whether he committed the crime. The only person who knows his motivations is the man himself. Maybe, if he pleads guilty, he'll state why he and his followers did it.

It's not personal. It's just war.

Motivation isn't the issue, save for Hillary, Obama and Susan Rice.

They wanted to kill Americans. Who the fuck CARES the motivation ? It was a crime, every much as was the attacks on 9/11/01.

It's a straw man to ask 'what was in this man's heart '. We already KNOW!

What you're overlooking ( intentionally ? ) is that this was NOT a spur of the moment, guys just out for a walk one evening and deciding to kill Americans , but in fact a planned, coordinated attack, including PRECISION mortar shelling.

Motive.
Means.
Opportunity.

Get with the program. These need to be proven in court of law.
