Attempting to promulgate the theory of global warming, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) claimed that the year 2012 was the “hottest” year on record. This toppled the previous records set in 1936. But after being called on the false statistics, without saying a word about the change, NOAA very quietly returned 1936 to leader status.

Now, why would they do that, I wonder.

Why they wanted to see if you'd noticed of course. Good for you, you got em. Global warming is a hoax and you Auraptor nailed em with prof positive through blind selflessness and your vigilant turpitude in calling over 90% of the worlds environmental scientists liars.

This shows you to be without a doubt, absolutely brilliant.

The 45th annual Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race was one of the coolest and safest in recent history. Race medical director Dr. Joe Wilson said he treated fewer people in the medical tents than in any of his previous 27 years as medical director.

“We’ve really had, obviously with the weather, had many many fewer heat related issues than we would normally have,” Wilson said.

A start time, the temperature was a cool 67 degrees outside, one of the coolest starts in recent history. In 2013 the start time temperature was 71 degrees.

“This is the fewest medical issues that we’ve had in 25 years, and we attribute that to both the education and experience of the runners and also the conditions,” Wilson said.

Government Data Show U.S. in Decade-Long Cooling

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s most accurate, up-to-date temperature data confirm the United States has been cooling for at least the past decade. The NOAA temperature data are driving a stake through the heart of alarmists claiming accelerating global warming.

You have to stop trusting your sources. They're misleading you badly. And very intentionally I might add. They didn't state the source or the amateur level of the 'analysis' up front. Nope, they said 'Government Data Show U.S. in Decade-Long Cooling' to mislead the careless reader into thinking the data analysis came from USCRN or NOAA. It didn't. It further claims 'temperature data confirm the United States has been cooling for at least the past decade.' It doesn't.

I took a look at the article and back-tracked it to the linked 'report' referenced by Forbes, went to the author's website then went back to the original data at USCRN. First of all, the 'analysis' Forbes referenced did not come from NOAA or its subset USCRN. It was generated by some guy with a spreadsheet. It was a crude 'analysis' that didn't take into account the random scatter of data and the ability to generate a 'pattern' by random chance. In that time the temps could have been going up, or down, or staying the same. Given the data scatter, the short time frame and the weak direction, it's not possible to say. Second, the time frame he references - less than a decade - is already known to be too short to reach any conclusions. Third the results aren't representative of the globe. Now I know you think the world looks like this:
but the entire US including Alaska and Hawaii only occupies 1% of the earth's surface. Even if the entire US were to become (let's pick a ridiculous figure) 10F cooler, it wouldn't change the global average.

As to why you would trust any 'authority' on global warming and accept what they say without thinking, but especially Forbes - that's a personal problem you're going to have to solve.

Economics may triumph over all arguments about greenhouse gases and climate. There is an article about fossil fuel in Australia: Solar has won. Even if coal were free to burn, power stations couldn't compete. As early as 2018, solar could be economically viable to power big cities. By 2040 over half of all electricity may be generated in the same place it's used. Centralised, coal-fired power will be over – www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jul/07/solar-has-won-even-if-co

Sometimes I think you just cannot make this stuff up, they just step all over their own shlongs, but are you secretly beefing up his dumb factor? Do you suspect he will produce a cite showing mammals have been moved into the Archosaur Group, and then call it libtard "fact" like the rest?

Not even mentioning that they were apparently the brightest of beings on the planet at the time, accelerating their advancement more than any other being had.

In Britain a TV host invited both sides of the climate change in representative numbers to discuss it on his show. Three against and 97 for.

In Britain they are now going with if you are representing things like climate change and you are one of the few against it they will no longer invite you to come on their shows with the explicit intent to mislead the people. Yeah Britain.

How can you say that? Are you 12?
That is what they said in 1976. But then they refused to allow RWR to run, insisted upon losing, and re-calculated the votes to make liberal Ford the candidate.
That is what they said in 1996. Clinton again? After knowing how incompetent he was? Easy win! But they insisted upon losing, so they made east-coast liberal Dole the candidate.
That is what they said in 2008. Obama? Even knowing how deceitful and incompetent he was? Easy win! But they insisted upon losing so they found the only candidate more liberal than Obama, and McCain was it.
That is what they said in 2012. Obama again? After knowing how deceitful and incompetent he was? Easy win! But they insisted upon losing so they made east-coast liberal Romney the candidate.

Do not underestimate the stupidity or stubbornness of the GOP or other RINOs. They are campaigning to find the next Ford/Dole/McCain/Romney who can lose. See Christie. See Boehner. See Cantor. See Jeb Bush. They will find a way to lose, given enough chance.

The fact that you can't accept as true, what 97 percent of ecological scientists on this planet believe to be true, shows a complete break down with you and the truth. A break down I believe which stems from your hatred of anyone who's beliefs differ from yours and is not a conservative. Your posts are full of it. (hate)
