Not from today. And the only source from that search that didn't accuse the separatists of doing heinous things with the bodies was al Jazeera. Not a source you or your ilk would credit, let me add.

So, please try to read what I posted. I posted about the news TODAY. The return of bodies from separatist territory is heralded as a type of victory over those animals. Stories of them doing 'bad' things to the bodies for 'horrible' reasons were widely disseminated just two days ago. We were supposed to understand that they're uncivilized disrespecters of even common human decency. And the arc of the story is that the bodies were returned despite them.

The fact that the bodies were being responsibly moved to refrigerated rails cars to preserve them and facilitate their return didn't make mainstream news.

If the media were interested in giving us ALL the facts and an impartial story we'd get a little background as to how exactly the return by refrigerated rail was accomplished. We'd be told that the it was due to the past work of separatists.

Instead we have a carefully trimmed and crafted set of stimuli - yea return! f/u separatists! - omitting vital information, to get a carefully trimmed crafted set of responses.

Right now as far as I know the bodies are still in territory held by the rebels. Let's see what happens and what is said after they no longer need the cooperation of the rebels with bodies and at the crash site.

Indeed. I haven't seen anyone suggest that Putin did this directly, and I never thought so. I also never thought the separatists did this on purpose. I think (I hope!) they are horrified by what they've done. They didn't sign up to massacre civilians.

Of course they'd want to get the bodies out of the heat, and that is a horrible job. I'm not surprised they were praised for it, even if one of them is the guy who fired the missile.

Yes, I'm taking it as a given that they did it. I will change my mind if different evidence surfaces, but as of now it's pretty clear to me. And not because I hate Russia. The only reason sig sees it that way is because that's how she rolls - she hates the West so everything must be fault of the West.

I put Ukraine on the list of credible suspects because of means, opportunity, and -especially- motive. I suspect them of lying because they've demonstrably lied in the past. I brought a link to the Kyiv Post to demonstrate one of those lies, and it was a doozy!

In a milieu when everyone was convinced that they knew Russia did it, I didn't claim that Kiev did, merely that they could have. All I was urging was to wait for information to come out, and to parse it with an open mind... and that means, open to -among other things- the possibility there may be lies or at least half-truths embedded in it, as well as truths. I think I've said this, or something like it, a dozen times by now.
