Yep. I do.

I read that Janice Dickenson has come out with it now, certainly might explain a bit of her behaviors. Someone suggested in the comment section that maybe that's why Lisa Bonet left the show too. He certainly sounds pervy enough to make me wanna leave.

It's sad, the guy was damn funny. But since I think most people are pure crap, not really tooo surprising. And it's funny now, the whole "black people need to hold themselves to a higher standard" comment from a couple years ago. Really damn ironic. Wonder if he felt like a hypocrite saying that, at all???

Also, does anyone know when rape kits became widely used? I thought it was early 90's, but not sure. All I know is these women are getting blamed for not going to get a rape kit done in the 70's and 80's which I don't think they had those then?? I know some of the more progressive departments did even in the fifties, but I thought that was rare?

Dunno. I hope not. But I do find it curious that only after Cosby is the most vocal against the glaring failures of blacks, do these claims come out against him. Seriously, this man has seen the black community regress over the past 50 years, says something about it , and gets hit with these accusations .

Colossal disconnect. There's zero reason for there to be riots in Ferguson, but what Bill Cosby ( who is black ) says about other blacks in this nation is wholly valid.

( Silly intro to start, but he gets right into the point, soon after )

Blacks have already won many battles, and yet they fall backwards, and act as if every minor achievement they see today is some historic " first " . The Williams sisters ? Great story, but they're not the first blacks to break into the tennis world. Not by long shot. More homes broken up, fewer INDIVIDUALS making names for themselves, and more folks on welfare, more giving bogus excuses, wasting time on trivial matters. HE is saying that, not me, not 'whitey', because he's SEEN it.

Not to derail the pointless black vs white thing, but now he comes out and says Janice is lying. I think it interesting that he would come out and say that he didn't do THAT ONE, but not say anything about the others?

OLDGUY

What Would Mal do ?

This next comment won't swallow easily either...but i own a successful business that serves the music entertainment industry. As such I enjoy watching people..both the famous and those who want to be in the game.

I have observed many many MANY a woman from obvious lap sitting and ridiculous levels of open tease, to some who just flat out pull their tops off stageside in order to gain favor or possible backstage access.

I've watched them pretend to be stumbling drunk..ie "hey.. I'm easy and availably vunerable" ...

and I've watched some who are far more calculating...high end dressing, working their way carefully through the system in hopes of landing a part of gaining access to the industry movers n shakers.

I've sat and talked with major artists who won't let a woman near them when they are on tour for fear of the damage to their reputation and legal liability.

So, do i believe ol Cosby is not the "all American dad" ?...yep.. he was an entertainer...given great privilege and opportunity, popularity, wealth, a lot of lonely road time and lovely women coming on to him in both subtle and not so subtle ways.

That facts may be that he preferred his "dates" to be a tad extra high and loose, doesn't negate the fact that the women had drinks and pills apparently, with him....I love the one story where one of the alleged victims even states that she had a glass of wine and complained of a tummy ache so he gave her a pill...yeah, right...like that's the truth.

Look, I get that some ladies are more innocent in this and that no amount of tease, etc warrants drugged rape...but 50 years down the road, trying to sort out who was ready to pull their skirt up a bit for Bill then, but didn't get what their big shot in the industry...maybe cause they couldn't sing or act worth a dang...vs women who truly thought they were somehow fortunate enough that the heavens had aligned themselves so that they were actually building a professional relationship with a major entertainer....naw...most of this is very old news..and great grandpa creeper Cosby ain't worth all the headline airtime that's being shed while hundreds die in our streets, and thousands die around the world..including attrocities that even a petty thief like Mal could not stand by and allow.

I always think it's a good thing to bring people down a peg.

Am I going to ignore that he was possibly a serial rapist just because he was funny? Nope.

Am I going to pretend all of these women were loose and had it coming because they were really naïve and took pills way too readily?
Sorry, just don't buy that.

"Constand's lawyers produced 11 more women who claimed Cosby had assaulted them, bringing the total number of accusers to 13. The suit was eventually settled, and, as part of that agreement, the plaintiff agreed not to discuss her allegations publicly."

This was from an article I read this morning,(somewhere called "The Vox") and as of today we're up to 16 women. That's a whole lotta accusations, and I don't think it does anyone (besides the accused) any good to ignore them. Plus, it goes back to my argument that there are a lot more rapes and rapists in this country than people think. Some number estimate up to a million a year. Women need to know. They need to stop being so naïve and trusting and get a clue. So yeah, I'm glad this is coming out now.

Re Cosby. Not a lot to say. If there is evidence, bring it on. It wouldn't be the first time that someone in the entertainment industry felt they were given a no consequences card along with the fame.

Re you comments, Rap. Makes me sick, it really does. I hope you do not speak for the majority of Americans are a just an internet crazy, but if there are many more of your ilk, no wonder the riots.....

I'm not sure what's most offensive, I still recoil at the term 'blacks', but maybe that's a cultural thing here. But also lumping so many people in the one basket, cause you know I'm sure that there is no one basket for African Americans who may be poor, middle class, wealthy, powerful, disenfranchised, successful, hardworking, lazy, drug addled, athletic, moral, immoral. A bit as weird as lumping 'whites' together.

Why ? And what do riots ever achieve ? Destruction of private property, usually by idiots from OUTSIDE of a community, who then leave, while those who remain are forced to pick up the pieces.

Reginald Denny. Ring a bell ? Look it up, if you need to. Completely innocent victim of that bullshit' social justice ' crap that the black agitators ( they're not leaders ) try and stir up.

Well, I'll never use the hyphenated term for those w/ darker skin than I have. That nonsense is over a century old, and I'm sick and tired of the Left continuing to divide AMERICANS into sub groups, to pit folks against each other.

“There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all.”

“This is just as true of the man who puts “native” before the hyphen as of the man who puts German or Irish or English or French before the hyphen. Americanism is a matter of the spirit and of the soul. Our allegiance must be purely to the United States. We must unsparingly condemn any man who holds any other allegiance.”

“But if he is heartily and singly loyal to this Republic, then no matter where he was born, he is just as good an American as any one else.”

“The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English- Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian- Americans, or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality than with the other citizens of the American Republic.”

“The men who do not become Americans and nothing else are hyphenated Americans; and there ought to be no room for them in this country. The man who calls himself an American citizen and who yet shows by his actions that he is primarily the citizen of a foreign land, plays a thoroughly mischievous part in the life of our body politic. He has no place here; and the sooner he returns to the land to which he feels his real heart-allegiance, the better it will be for every good American.”

I have no idea if Bill Cosby did or didn't do it. Being promiscuous doesn't make one a rapist. Being famous, even to a small degree, can get people more ...um, attention from the opposite sex. Or the same sex. Which ever.

Ah yes, Comamnder Decker. The proto type to Frakes' # 1.

But back to real life ...

Quote:

TMZ broke the story ... the NYPD was investigating at least 3 cases of alleged molestation or indecent exposure, but all 3 cases are so old authorities believe the statute of limitations have run.

But sources tell TMZ ... 2 NYPD detectives flew from New York to Seattle to interview the woman whom Collins admits on tape to molesting when she was 10.

Cops were not interested in probing the woman's story any further, but they were intensely interested in finding out if other, more recent alleged victims might have come forward.

That was a joke, fyi.

Yeah, I guess "most" Americans would prefer to say 'African-American', which is the current in a long list of 'preferred ' names. I'd rather just say 'Americans', and leave it at that, but blacks don't care for merely being seen as American. It's as much a political and cultural as it is racial. All African Americans feel that way, do they?

Here's a totally unrelated to the post topic tidbit. I once met a Kenyan woman who worked in my industry and had written a lot about the African community and our industry. Most Africans who have settled here do not originate from Kenya, but Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia etc. I asked her how these Africans perceived her, whether there was a divide because she was Kenyan. She told me that in Africa, no one identifies as African, but from the country of origin, and within the country of origin they identify according to racial and or/tribal affiliations. But once out of Africa, they tended to identify themselves as African and embrace other Africans regardless of the divisions that exist back on the continent.

So I wonder if the same thing applies in the US. When out of America, I doubt many would identify as being African American or black American, whereas as within the US they may identify with that culture. Just a thought.

I don't care what she says on that stupid show. I loved her on Star Trek, in "Ghost", and a bunch of other movies. She earned a lifetime pass from me a long time ago. Actors and actresses should stick to acting, but if they do open their mouths and say dumb things in the real world it rarely bothers me.

Yep, count me among the converted. He's a creep. How many women came out?

Saw the interview with the AP reporter whom he asked not to air that portion of the interview when he was asked about his past, in front of Camille, and they both looked like a deer caught in the headlights. I could almost sense Camille's skin crawling, as she gave that fake smile. It reminded me of the Penn State football coach's wife - what's his name - Sandusky. Same look on her face.

SGG - how many would balk if a network reporter asked open ended questions about the sins done over a lifetime ? Maybe something done in your teens , twenties or what ever, when you're now 70 + ?

And if you the viewer already see the man as being guilty , your perception of him is prolly jaded.

And an FYI, I know for a fact that rape kits were being used by at least the mid-70s, as my sister, who was a stat lab tech for a county hospital, was processing them at the time, and they were already in common use by then.

Yes, rethink. Even ponder for a spell. It's vital to have a carefully considered position on the important Bill Cosby matter.

It may impact my very life by which side I choose .

Jongs ,it's the classic Catch 22.

If I believe Cosby, then I'm perpetuating the war on women, and promoting the 'rape culture'.

If I believe the women, then I'm a racist, and perpetuating that all black males are lookin' just to hump any female they can get their hands on.

I tried to enjoy ST:TNG despite her presence. She ruined everything.

Ask away. I've only had sex with one person, who I married, I've never done drugs of any kind, never been addicted to ANYTHING, or even had a serious car accident. I did punch someone in JR High though, if you really wanna know and he really had it coming. I honestly don't see how other people have such little self control in their own lives...

Interesting. They were processing for DNA or for blood type and hair matches? And was she in a major city?

Unfortunately, both stereotypes exist for a reason. Women CAN be mind boggleingly naive and there ARE a lot of black men who look to hump any female they can get their hands on. Why we still talkin' 'bout this?

P.S. How 'bout you take a stand, man, and not worry about who calls who what? I mean, you donna seem ta care the rest of the time, why start now?

MAGONSDAUGHTER

It seems a lot of men in the entertainment industry felt they could get away with anything, and for a lot of years did as they pleased. Now as victims feel like they may get some chance of justice, they are coming forward.

With Jimmy Saville, he held so much power they had to wait until he was dead.

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

You mean Bill Cosby, the black who made money pandering to racists by scolding other blacks on how awful they were? You mean blacks too can be hypocrites if there's money to be made?

Say it isn't so!

SAGAN: We are releasing vast quantities of carbon dioxide, increasing the greenhouse effect. It may not take much to destabilize the Earth's climate, to convert this heaven, our only home in the cosmos, into a kind of hell.

Where did he ever 'pander to racists' ?

Show us where he scolded blacks on how awful they were ?

All Cosby has ever done is tell the truth. As much as it pains me, Jesse Jackson and
Louis Farrakhan have chided the black community for very much the same things as Cosby. Why ? Because they know of what they speak on this matter. Self pity and apathy are like a cancer, a sickness that is keeping the black community from being what it could be.

Think Jesse and Louis are 'pandering to racists' ? Well, perhaps, but not those of the lighter skin color. The message of making better choices for a better future, taking control of your own life isn't telling folks how awful they are, but how much more they can be !

Sad that your little world view can't comprehend such a vision.
