If there's anything which can be taken from the events in Paris is this... Islamophobia can no longer be used as a muzzle to keep those who oppose militant Islam and oppressive Sharia Law from speaking out.

1 million people of all faiths, no faiths, men and women, old and young, and a collage of nationalities, all come together to unite and stand AGAINST militant radical Islam.

We outnumber them.

It's time we stand up and stomp these heartless murdering degenerates out of existence.

I've heard that before. The western world doesn't have the will to do it. A week or two will go by and Paris will be a forgotten story ... just like all the others.

But this wasn't like the others. The victims weren't soldiers, but regular citizens, armed w/ the ideas of free speech, a pen and paper.

And they weren't mere random targets of some crazed gunmen. They were sought out, identified, and executed, for drawing cartoons.

citizens, cops, and a jogger... killed, by these ruthless monsters. I really do think it has shaken France, and Europe like nothing before. I really think this is different.

And it can't be overstated that while the leaders of Israel and Palestine were there in attendance, visible for the world to see, no where was there any sign of the United States. No Obama. Not even Holder, who was there somewhere, we're told. He must have been in the back of the march, or something.

In the way of recent attacks abroad, the White House will host a Summit on Countering Violent Extremism Feb. 18 that will highlight how local committees in United States have worked to curb extremism before violence takes place.

The meeting aims to show how to prevent attacks by those prone to extremism "in the United States and abroad to commit acts of violence, efforts made even more imperative in light of recent, tragic attacks in Ottawa, Sydney, and Paris," according to a statement released by the White House press secretary.

Violence by 'extremists' , in Ottawa, Paris, Sydney... give me a frelling break. No one an put those 3 incidents together, knowing who committed those attacks, ignore who it was and keep a shred of credibility.

Amateur hour continues at the WH.

But we have seen this before with civilians ... 9/11, Theo Van Gogh, Bali nite club, Indian hotel, Kenyan shopping center, London subway, Barcelona trains, etc. The West chooses to live with it rather than destroy it. Sorry, I wish you were right.

9/11 was over here.

Theo Van Gogh was a lone attack.

Bali ? Other side of the planet. Same goes for Sydney.

Here we saw the killers. Up close and personal. They didn't just leave a bomb, and walk away. They held the gun, pointed, and executed one person, after another. The murder of the 1 cop was caught on CCTV. He was Muslim, btw, and shot like a dog.

All this, right in down town Paris, for pretty much the world to see.

You're right, we HAVE seen this before. Muslims killing other Muslims, or foreigners, in foreign lands, far away from US. That's " their " problem.

But this was right on the front doorsteps of the most international of cities in Europe.

Now ? It's more of OUR problem.

Fears of an anti-Islamic backlash in France are growing in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo massacre as a spate of attacks on mosques were reported across the country.

Mosques in French have in recent years regularly been targeted, but since Wednesday’s deadly attack on the satirical magazine by a pair of radical Islamists, there has been a spike in the number of attacks.

The latest came on Friday night when shots were fired at a Muslim prayer centre in Digne-les-Bains in Provence, and at a mosque in Soissons, about 20 miles away from the town where the Charlie Hebdo suspects were shot dead by police.

On Thursday, a homemade bomb went off outside a mosque in the central city of Villefranche-sur-Saone, while on Friday the head of a wild pig was placed outside a prayer room in Corte in Corsica.

A letter lay beside the head that warned “the next time it will be the head of one of yours.”

Anti-Islam slogans were daubed on the walls of mosques in the towns of Poitiers, Lieven and Béthune, while in Bayonne on the Atlantic coast the words “dirty Arabs” and “murderers” were sprayed on the facade of a mosque.

Police said a fire at a mosque in Aix-les-Bains was likely a criminal act, and in L’Oiselet, a secondary school student of north African origin was beaten up by youths shouting racist insults.

In Paris, terrorism expert Thomas Hegghammer tweeted that his taxi driver had told him customers were refusing to ride with him because he was of Arab appearance.

The spate of attacks worry the leaders of France’s Muslim community, which at around five million people is the largest in Europe.

Many imams urged their followers during Friday prayers to shun violence and terrorism but they also warned that Muslims must fight against any attempts to equate Islam and terrorism.

Imam Chabbar Taieb, the head of a charity group that runs five mosques in Paris, said he condemned the Charlie Hebdo attack but warned that the vast majority of peace-loving Muslims in France might have to pay the price.

“The result is that now everyone is afraid of Muslims and Muslims are living in fear. I have also asked the faithful to show patience in the face of any anti-Muslim provocations,” he said.

Anti-immigrant and anti-Islam attitudes have been on the rise in recent years in France as elsewhere in Europe, fuelled by an ailing economy and rising unemployment.

The growing resentment has boosted the fortunes of the far-Right Front National, which for decades has campaigned on an anti-immigrant ticket.

An Ipsos opinion poll last year said that 74 percent of those interviewed thought Islam was an “intolerant” religion incompatible with the values of French society, while eight out of ten thought Islam sought to “impose its model on others”.

Those fears have been heightened with the current flow of young French nationals to the Middle east, where around 1,000 are beleived to have travelled to wage jihad alongside radical groups such as the Islamic State.

French and European leaders have long been warning that some of these will likely return to their homelands to carry out attacks there.

The two brothers who carried out the attack on Charlie Hebdo had been trained and indoctrinated by a network of French Islamist extremists with links to Islamic State.

Rupert Murdoch has sparked outrage after saying all Muslims should be held responsible for the actions of jihadists.

The controversial media mogul took to Twitter after three days of terrorist atrocities in Paris.

The News Corp boss suggested that even peaceful Muslims must take responsibility for the actions of terrorists until the 'jihadist cancer' is destroyed.

He wrote: 'Maybe most Moslems peaceful, but until they recognize and destroy their growing jihadist cancer they must be held responsible.'

Is that going too far? Does France have freedom of speech? What would they do, defend it? Or just capitulate like their custom and training? The next affair will wipe this event from their consciousness.
