ShinyEd is gonna love me for this.

ON CNN.com, there is this Insta-Poll thing. The question today, , paraphrased, is, does FEMA's response to the tornados show a new FEMA?

Alas, 68 % of the voters say No.

After all, with a week's warning, 1800 + folks died in New Orleans during hurricane Katrina, and it took several days to get an effective response going. Now, of course, that's a Democrat state, with a Dem, woman governor, and a city with a Demo mayor and a black population.

Whereas, after unexpected tornadoes which killed about 25 people, the Prez is on-site the next day, in 2 different states, Georgia and Alabama, with 2 different white Republican male governors. Don't know what race the dead folks were, there haven't been pictures yet.

Now ya gotta understand, I make no comment myself, but 68 % of the floks responding to CNN's unscientific poll, don't see that as a change.

I noticed how none a' you right wing, Ann Coulter defending, Limbaugh listening, character assassinating heroes had anything to say about this thread.

Maybe because a position would be indefensible, and ya know it.

Another right wing debate technique-- an argument comes along that you can't win, just ignore its inconvenient existence, and hope it'll go away.

Another dishonest way to win...

Floks? ...of sheeple?

Not sure how the president showing up can be used to judge the effectiveness of FEMA. Also not sure how valid comparison between hurricane and tornado response is. I do think you're just looking for an argument. Try Mr. Barnard; room 12.
