Well, this is shameful.

That's exactly how the so-called "Patriot Act" was passed, and how the the banks were deregulated (2000) and how the first 700 billion was acquired.

This is the way EVERY bill seems to be presented nowadays. Ignore the problem, get the bills ready in the dark, wait until there's a crisis, then jam them down everyone's throats BECAUSE THERE'S NO TIME TO DEBATE OR THINK ABOUT IT!!

Yup. I've been noticing some fairly creepy parallels between this crisis and the last one (9/11). It's the same manufactured panic, instilled largely through our compliant (complicit?) media, and the same cowardice on the part of pandering politicians who can never pass up an opportunity to grab more power.
