He should do this before he turns the White House bowling alley into rec-room.

Australian Wagyu to be served in Washington (that's dubya's Washington, btw)

A major international coup and one set to focus world attention on Australian beef, the supply deal was secured after President Bush, Prime Minister Rudd and a number of international diplomats dined on Australian Wagyu flown in by Pure Blue Meats this week.

I would really appreciate it if he would:

1. stay off talk shows
2. stay off magazine covers
3. watch Bulls games from home, the White House

He's not here to make us laugh or entertain us or "be seen." He can do those things with great relish AFTER.

America loves a winner!

O says he bowled a 129 ? Didn't he bowl a 37 on the campaign trail ?

Guess it's a good thing he's had plenty of time to practice and get better since the election.

Hope nothing cuts into his bowling time. Who knows, by the end of his 4 years, he'll break 200!

"As much as I respect what he's doing, really the economy is something he should focus on more than the brackets. "
- Duke University basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski, after Obama snubbed Duke in his Final Four picks.

The U.S. economy WAS on fire under Bush, for 6 years. Until the Democrats took control of Congress. It's been all down hill since then.

Mm. Heaven forbid he make an effort to talk to and reach as much of the public as possible. I mean, he's only our leader, why would we want to hear from him? Better that he take a vacation to a secluded estate somewhere and play golf while everyone wonders what the hell is going on and what the hell is going to happen. Yeah.

That's why I put it in quotes, as in celebrity watching.
It's a calculated risk for sure - maybe he shows us that he's not so concerned so we shouldn't be. Maybe it reassures some people. Or, to some it looks like he's using his being our Leader to feed his celebrity fantasies. Yes, talk to us A LOT - I just question the venue.

fwiw Bernanke on 60 minutes was a great idea and worked for me, but that was because up until then his public profile was mostly negative and who he was as a person was a big mystery.

O. on Leno - felt to me like it undercut the seriousness of the moment. It also gives too much opportunity at a critical time to those that want to see him fail.

Why take vacations to Hawai'i when you can have Wed night parties at the White House and go bowling in your basement !
