One thing that's always rooked me about the whole implied social contract thing, folks...

See, no one asked ME if I wanted to be subject to this nations moral and legal codes, or even whether I agreed to them, when I popped out of mommy way back when.

Sure as hell all those debts folk ran up in my name didn't see MY signature on no agreement to pay em back, given they were for the most part incurred before I was even a gleam in daddys eye.

No one ever gave me no chance to refute or dispute any of it before dropping it on me en masse before I even had the mental development to stand up, much less discuss it.

To assume that one is stuck with a system by birthright even if they do not agree is no better than presuming someone a slave simply because they were born to a slave - and we ended THAT idiocy 140 years ago, or so I thought.

Oddly enough, this concept - how I did NOT agree, and how no one ever asked ME if I did - in fact occured to me when I was seven years old, eleven YEARS before I would have any say in the very system thrust upon me for no better reason than the geographical region in which I was born, something I personally had no control over.

You have the option to opt out.

You see the contract have benefits to both sides. You pay taxes, enjoy social services, vote, etc. The Govt. does not abuse its power by having you executed for no reason.

You are left with several options. You can die. You can leave and try to find a better deal somewhere else. You can abide by the system. Or you can take the benefits without giving the return due (ie break the law and go to jail).

Look, there's things I don't mind payin for, and things I *do* mind payin for, which were decided long before I was even born, much less able to vote - so where the HELL in that does any "freedom" come into it whatsoever ?

And don't give me none of that agreement by default bullshit neither - someone sticks a gun to your head and demands money or else, you didn't AGREE to jack diddly shit, that's NOT a fucking contract.

This entire concept is me raising the moral implications of us mortgaging the future of kids not even born yet, and then dumping OUR mistakes and debts upon them unwilling, unwanted, and then taking their money from them by threat of force to pay for it.

Now, infrastructures one thing, and it's worth the freakin investment, roads, power grids, telephone, sure - that's necessary and beneficial to society - but needless wars of aggression that didn't even serve their supposed purpose and bankrupted our economy ?

That's OUR mistake, and here everyone seems to want to push it off onto the next generation, and the next, and the next - as was done to us by the dickheads before us - there's a *reason* I am extremely hostile to the elderly, just so you know, since I spend my whole life being savaged by taxes to pay for THEIR deficit spending which enabled them to live beyond their means.

Or perhaps, consider it on a personal scale, get a credit card with no appreciable limit and run up seven figures of debt and then defer payment onto your grandkids - explain to me how this would be morally right, how this would be some kind of contract they "agreed" to simply by nature of being born ?

Fuck that.

Debt slavery and indentured servitude is what it is, no matter the happy, shiny face you wanna try pasting over it.

And no, I didn't agree to their million plus asinine little laws neither, especially as many make no sense, contradict each other and have resulted in a country where you cannot live a normal life for one single day without breaking quite a few of them, thus giving the state all the excuse it ever needs to fuck us over at whim.

Its a social contract. Its not between you and the govt...its between the people (collectively) and the govt.
