Just came across this and thought it interesting, from a certain point of view:

Flat-rates and number two are dependent upon what exactly the prostitutes have agreed to, which I don't see explained anywhere in the article. Have they signed a contract saying they are willing to have sex with anyone so long as they're paid, or have they been promised some ability to choose? If the later, then such an offer is in violation of the prostitute's contract with the brothel, and I imagine being that their work is LEGAL in Germany, they can actually seek help if practices towards themselves or other prostitutes are becoming abusive.

Two is dependent upon the number of workers available, and therefore is troublesome.

Six I'm unsure about, because on one hand it encourages morally iffy fetishes, on the other it might offer a legal alternative to rape or hurting children and the elderly. In satisfying people who want such services, they might not act on their urges in a real setting. But... o.0 Part of me would like to see someone arrested for requesting anything like that.

Job requirements are a no. It's a form of prostitution, yes, but also is more like bribery and the trading of sexual favours in the workplace. The people having to interview in this fashion would not truly be demonstrating skill or aptitude for the job in question, and moreover, this would be unequal and unfair to other applicants not asked to "interview" this way. And it would set back advances made in preventing sexual harassment a long way.

Charity medical care is similar, too similar to sexual favours and bribery for a service. It's unfair to other patients.

Maids, not their job, not what they've signed up for (unless they have).

Full service teacher, not fair to other students. Kind of creepy if it's underage.

The rest I'm fine with, though I question whether prostitution in general doesn't just render a person a sex object and whether it should be discouraged for that reason alone.

Boy whores?

Also, the actually article makes this whole situation much more murky, because they specify that at the brothels that were closed, there were incidents of abuse.

"Massage beds and other furniture were found to be heavily soiled and one whirlpool was very dirty, said Christoph Palm, the mayor of Fellbach. The way food had been stored had also broken hygiene regulations, he said. In one case police had found evidence pointing to forced prostitution, he added."

I'm with ya on that one. I don't think it DOES offer a "pressure relief" for those with those types of kinks. In fact, I fear that it actually ENCOURAGES their fetish, and reinforces it, making it probably MORE LIKELY that they're going to try to take it out into the "real world". That's my worry about that one.

By the way, "all the food you want" at a brothel? Who the hell is going to a whorehouse for the food?

Other than that, some of those ideas to boost sales are pretty funny.

Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

There was a strip club in South Florida near where I worked when I used to live there. They offered free lunches with any drink purchase as an incentive to get people into the place during the midday period.

I did the math. A girl comes by after her on-stage performance about once every 7 minutes to beg for donations. It takes about 15 minutes to get my double bacon cheeseburger and fries. 5 minutes to eat it.

2 bucks for the drink (a coke), a buck each for 3 girls who come by over the course of 21 minutes. 1 buck for the tip.

6 bucks and I get a really nice double-bacon cheeseburger, fries, coke, and naked entertainment.

I was so bummed when they discontinued their lunch deal. Probably because of people like me who treated the place less like a strip club and more like an alternative to McDonalds.

DREAMTROVE

There's a restaurant in Vienna that serves very expensive food, but each meal comes with a free hooker.

Activity actually can burn a lot of calories, some people might end up working up other types of appetite while they get the obvious one satisfied.

See, THAT is the part that's off-putting to me.

I'm not a big fan of hearing about "broken hygiene regulations" when it comes to food prep and storage in a brothel. Makes ya wonder just how they're heating up that hot dog, doesn't it?

I'm more concerned about the whirlpool conditions.

The women are probably taking birthcontrol, but still... Swimming in man juice water? Nuh uh, no, that's really really gross.
