PN and I have a sort of friendly rivalry cause sometimes we're working the same issues from different angles, and I know that most of his crazy is cover to prevent him from being taken seriously or having enough credibility to be a threat.

And there's good reason for it, and usefulness in that as well.

Sometimes when the powers that be have a cockamamie plan that's pretty horrific, and you either don't have enough evidence, cannot take the risks to get it, or revealing it would put out your sources, you need a lunatic fringer willing to go all out and spill the beans, you see ?

And when they do so, it deprives the powers that be of the ability to USE the plan, since doing so would give credibility to the fringe, and if names were named in advance, open them to criminal and conspiracy charges as well, and so, nothing happens and it's just one more "crazy conspiracy theory" - but without folk like PN to run the crazy ball and cock-block em like that, some of it COULD have happened.

And sometimes when an issue is big enough, the lunatic fringe are the ones who take up the flag of resistance initially, like this past 15 years they've been trying to push REX-84 and a big scary pandemic, first bird flu, then swine flu, and falling to both being cut to pieces by activists and the apathy of a population inured to the booga-booga cause they've gone to that well one too many times - what's next, dog flu ?
*eyeroll*

But anyhows, folks like PN serve a very useful function for activists, and often enough we're working in conjuction on something - besides which I know how he GOT that crazy, cause I been down some of the same rabbitholes, and he knows stuff you couldn't have learned any other way.
