'...Terrorists not only use encrypted online messages to communicate, but they scan the Web for intelligence. "We shouldn't kid ourselves.
Our adversaries are all reading the Internet," says Roger Cressey, a former White House national security official.'

So , does this quote mean that folk who read the Internet are 'adversaries' ? That everyone who reads the Internet is potentially a terrorist ?

If terrorists are finding useful intel from scanning the 'net , shouldn't regular folk likewise turn up some good stuff ? Must regular folk be less free than 'terrorists' ?

I chanced upon a person of Middle Eastern appearance shortly after the demolitions of 9-11 , printing reams of floor-plans of various US Embassies around the world , and called the FBI and conferred with an agent about it...

The 'agent' could scarcely have been LESS concerned...

Does that mean I did something not p.c. , because I was guilty of 'racial profiling' , or did this 'copy guy' get a 'pass' because he was an 'employee' himself ?

From Yahoo Compliance Team:

Quote:

IP addresses associated with log-ins to a user account are available for up to one year.

Registration IP address data available for IDs registered since 1999.

Yahoo! is not able to search for or produce deleted emails.

Yahoo! has a co-branded service with AT&T. For customers with email addresses that have an
SBC or AT&T suffix, AT&T has the primary customer relationship. In such cases, it is most
appropriate to direct legal process first to AT&T.

Yahoo! also has partnerships with Verizon, Rogers (Canada), and BT (UK).

Yahoo! will ask law enforcement to certify that the prior or delayed notice provisions have been satisfied if contents are sought with legal process other than a Search Warrant.

What the heck is "other than a Search Warrant"? Just a letter? "Delayed notice" sounds like a scam.

Quote:

In order for Yahoo! to turn over any information to law enforcement based on a user’s consent to search, the user’s signed consent must be accompanied by a subpoena.

Contracts are how the constitutions are overthrown. Note that subpoenas require a new "consent to search" contract signed by the account holder.

This does not count NSA spy hubs that read 100% of email.

"Our adversaries" is an ambiguous phrase.

If the speakers represent tptb, rather than the american people, then their adversaries would be us.

Cryptome is useful, but always double-check the sourcing cause they're not as rigorous vetting their data as they should be, and the alphabet goon squads have in times past slipped a couple disinfo bits in there past their scrutiny, be advised.

And yes, the internet really takes the piss out of em cause even a regular joe from Detroit can do in half an hour what they claim takes half a million bucks and fifteen agents, it robs them of their excuses, it exposes their lies, and allows us Peons to communicate practically with each other and reduces the benefit of their divide and conquer political tactics.

Of COURSE they hate it and want to smother it, it's the last little bit of freedom they haven't stamped out yet!

Not for very bloody long.

The tech-savvy cryptoanarchist types will always, ALWAYS win a game of whack-a-mole, and besides which, retroactive classification is even more impossible in the era of the internet than it was with hard copy - once it has been seen, it can NOT be unseen, you can NOT drop it down the memory hole and pretend it never existed or never happened cause not only did the folks who posted it keep copies, so did those who leaked it to them, and many of those who saw it and suspected a response like this.

Once it's hit the internet, it's TOO LATE to go about denial and coverups, and any effort to try just sinks em in just that much deeper.

Expect rapid backpeddling and a lot of doubletalk from the Microshit PR dept in very short order.
