They've taken 2 storys that few people want to see and put them together into 1 piece of crap, I wonder who they will get to star in this little gem? They can call it "Brokeback Iraqi".

Justin Timberlake may be a good pick for the young Iraqi who blames Bush for the war and all the pain his family and countrymen are in, and likes to take it in the ass.

Gee, I don't recall seeing JT in this Prince of Persia - oh wait, this time Jake isn't buttbangin' but with a chick. Or is this a seperate film with Jake? BrokebuttJar Mountainhead?

Read most of the comments about this film venture the W's have in mind. Risky is putting it mildly.

Strictly speaking on the proposal, it does sound like pandering to the gay community and like H-wood's desperate attempt to try anything to make a quick buck. It's like releasing a no-frills Avatar for Earth Day and then finding out that a full-on bells & whistles release is due out later this year. It's called squeezing the juice (good to the last drop).

Well, the Wachowskis have a bold and out-there film project which to me, quite frankly, sounds like a really bad idea. It'll prolly make a zillion dollars. And the comments about the unpopular Iraq war not translating into major bucks for Hollywood is somewhat unsettling. But as long as there is war, there will be war movies.

I did, though, enjoy the movie "Bound." Not because it was about a gay relationship (although Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon were fantastic in their roles), but because it was a well-made gangster thriller. The Matrix was equally as good as Bound, some think better than.
The 2 brothers have missed the mark since 1999's The Matrix and their value has gone downhill almost as fast as Speed Racer tanked at the box office.

Perhaps blockbusters aren't their strongsuit, hence the return to more intimate storytelling. And you can't get anymore intimate than gay coupling. The question is who will make up the audience? Sex and The City move over.
