Was hoping this would die the death it richly deserves; this is just RivKaneZit having a go at me...think of it as the obscene hang-up phone call of a pubescent boy. I've not been around long, so I dunno, but does he show up much in Winter, when school is in session? Boring Summers can bring these kids out, so I wondered...

As to the question; since this is up here, I'll respond a bit. PIZMO got this actually going, by looking up flight costs. He and I, and other liberals, disagree FAR more than we agree. Anthony made the initial suggestion, and tho' you may see him as more liberal than not no doubt, that's actually because he's civil and open to debating issues, rather than hurling insults.

Byte already spoke up. Peacekeeper is a Brit, so obviously you'd hate him whatever his politics are, and I'm not sure how "liberal" translates over there. Frem is ANYTHING but liberal (!), and yes, Mike is in there too, so he fits your "bill".

There are two who sent money via PayPal and didn't identify themselves...one is Pizmo, but I don't know who the other is, they won't respond to my e-mails and tell me.

At one point I had a list on my Firefly Word doc, but I didn't save it one day and lost that part. I KNOW I posted names and amounts once, but I just spent a few minutes searching and can't find that post. Can anyone else find it for me (Mike?).

So aside from who the anonymous one is--and if I had that post I could probably tell you, I think that's it.

If the two people who sent anonymously would PLEASE e-mail me who they are, I'd really appreciate it. I'm in the phone book...and, I discovered, google! I would share the URL of the website I run, but there are those here who I don't trust and anyone who remembers my arrival remembers that they used it against me on the other Firefly board, so I was forced to close it to the public.

The story (according to mother, known liar) is she wanted to name me "Roxanne" (which I'd have loved); father said "no, they'll call her "Rocky Beach", so he chose Sandra, which of course kids latched onto as 'Sandy Beach' (big laugh...mother's favorite joke). I don't buy it.

When I was a teenager, "Sandy" should be tiny, blonde, buxom and look good in a bikini (Sandra Dee). I was tall, skinny, no boobs, olive skin from dad and brunette. I hated the jokes.

And after years of trying every variation to get away from "Sandra", from Alexandria ("Alex", I liked it!) to Saundra, etc., when I started jr. college and nobody knew me, I added Nikovich (as I've been through before, the middle name of Illya Nikovich Kuryakin, sidekick in "Man from U.N.C.L.E.", played by David McCallum, now--as someone here told me and I checked--"Dr. Donald 'Ducky' Mallard" on "NCIS", and my gawd, he looks even older than I do...terrible show in my opinion, can't watch it even to see him!).

Kept the Christine, tried to go by S.C. Nikovich, S. Nikovich, so I could use "Niki", but in the end I just sign things Sandra C. Niki Beecher.

Was a late bloomer; by the time I reached 17, my 6' height was an advantage, my metabolism such that I stayed thin until middle age (just lost 35 lbs., what a gas, would like to lose another 20), I had some boobs (cleavage, what FUN!), my bipolarity had come to fruition so I ran around in hot pants and high heels and was considered "hot". Didn't change my hatred of the name "Sandy". I'm not a Sandy.

Legally, tho', it's as above. Satisfied? I doubt you'd donate anyway, but I wouldn't GO without a camera, and I want photos of myself down there anyway for my own keepsake, so those are no problem. My little Olympus takes (rather poor) video, too, so there will be that as well. I PRAY I can get to some nearby beach in my "off" time, so I can get some good shots of SOMETHING...whether I can or not, I'll be out shooting every chance I get and there will be lots of pix around IBRRC of cleaning of pelicans, etc.!

Far more than anyone wanted to know, but you made the mistake of asking. So you got your "full" accounatibility. Yes, at the time it probably would have been Tashi...short for Tashakur, "Thank you" in Dari (the Afghan derivative of Farsi). He's over two now (wow!) and we have Kochak (Dari for "Little One"), who is amazing...we call her "Pocket Rocket" because she IS one!

Just 'cuz this has alredy gone so far and I can't seem to get out of these two or three threads anyway today:

Scared the piss outta me, except Paula (my long-time friend who's always had huskies and where I fell in love with them) had told me "we've never had to wait for more than an hour or so for them to come back...". They did. Assholes...

She had a good laugh when I got Kochak--she's always had at least two and wrote me I was insane to get another. She was Head Ranger at a state park before retiring, and her two huskies would TAKE DEER...very embarrassing...

Just cause imma smartass, this one is like ages old, found it a couple weeks ago cleaning out a closet - that was, shall we say, in my prime, with a whole lot less artificial parts, a damn LONG time ago.

This one is a bit more recent, although not one of my finer moments, hung over and half asleep, nudged out of bed by a cat that wanted food like, right freaking now.
ETA: That's Fifi Fatbutt, not Ghoster, although they do look much alike.

I don't look any kind of distinctive save for being short, which is far more common these days than it was back in 1980-1990, and that has come in tremendously useful over the years cause being so nondescript is about halfway to being invisible and wardrobe does the rest - anonymity is even better than invisibility, to be seen and never noticed.
