Hello,

What do you all think the likelihood of this is? If it happens, do you see it as a good or bad development? Do you think a VAT would replace the Income Tax, or merely supplement it? If it occurs, how can Americans home to absorb the burden? Or is this merely a fanciful doom scenario?

Yeah right, every time an "instead of" Tax shows up, it always, ALWAYS winds up an "in addition to" Tax - since when have the bastards ever repealed one voluntarily, not to mention how long it took us to get the "temporary" telephone line tax pulled, and THAT only worked cause we pulled it off when they weren't lookin!

No, just flat NO, they got enough money, they need to learn to fucking use it instead of flushing it and screaming for more.
