I once saw The Monkeys in concert. With Al Yankovic.

Hello,

I enjoy both artists. I think I'd have enjoyed that show.

It was a good show. I enjoyed it more than I thought. And that I didn't pay for the tickets, made it all the more enjoyable.

Hello,

I am sometimes surprised by what I enjoy when the opportunity presents itself.

A couple of years ago, I took the wife to a Neil Diamond concert, and found myself entertained. The fella is only two steps ahead of the crypt-keeper, but he still puts on a pretty good show.

Now I have some Diamond songs in my catalog of music.

Hello,

I'm something of a fan. I tend to find all the best original and homage vids, due to interest and time invested.

One of my recent favorites is the one for Trapped in the Drive Through."

I was always fond of Weird Al myself, originally cause of Trigger Happy and Xmas at Ground Zero - back when I was something of a nihilist...

Although, given my passionate hatred for the idiot box, this HAS to be my favorite.

S'funny, I wrote up a weird al type parody called "Nine Carollas" (tune of my-sharona) after a particularly frustrating round of need for speed series.
"Lemme tell ya bout the night that I wrecked nine carollas..."

Hello,

You may also enjoy Jonathan Coulton, who is quite talented.

Of course, strange sap that I am, I find some of these parody/comedy songs heartbreaking to the point that I tear up when I hear them.

He has a talent for contrasting subject matter with tone, but it somehow only enhances the emotional trip for me, sometimes.

I have heard that he once challenged himself to write a 'thing a week' for an entire year, completing 52 songs. One would think they'd all suck, but many of them were surprisingly entertaining.

The sign-language community seems to enjoy making sign-videos of his songs. In a communication style that relies on emoting with your whole body, Coulton offers a lot of fun emotes.

Hello,

Apologies for spamming with Coulton. But there is another video that I really like from him called "I feel Fantastic!" I thought there were several people here who might find that some of its commentary resonates with them and their concerns:
