Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...
Quote: A documentary film about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is no longer just for private premiers. Producers of the film released a trailer Friday of the feature-length film set to play throughout the country beginning July 15. The trailer is a glimpse into the favorable film that tracks Palin's career using home movies and photographs, audio from her memoir "Going Rogue" and interviews with former aides and supporters. "Like a marine, she runs toward the danger," the trailer says. "The oil execs approached her and said you don't know who you're messing with. It wasn't something that Daddy gave her; it wasn't something the machine prepared the way for." The movie, directed and produced by Steve Bannon, was previously screened by reporters and premiered in Iowa last month with Sarah and her husband Todd in attendance. After the private premieres in early presidential contest states, the film will air in 10 other cities: Dallas, Denver, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Atlanta, Phoenix, Houston, Indianapolis, Orange Country, California and Kansas City. Bannon was first approached by Palin, who is still considering a run for the White House in 2012, and her staff after last November's midterm elections. They asked him to produce a series of videos to highlight the former governor's record in Alaska, in an attempt to recover her "maverick" brand and repair the political fallout from her decision to quit the governorship in 2009. However, Palin was not involved in the film's production and told the audience in Iowa she was "just blown away." On her Facebook page Wednesday, Palin encouraged the media to view the film, and took her usual swipe. "You'll learn the facts many of you have failed to report for the last three years as you've continued to do what makes you less and less relevant in our country's discourse," Palin wrote.
