Kinda on the fence about this one. It's the law, obviously, I'm just sad all this had to happen. For me personally, having his bail revoked and the fact that they lied about it (which I think the jury should know, as it goes to the credibility of both of them) was sufficient. There's already been too much suffering around this whole thing. Just the feelings I have when I heard this.

It's going to cost them $100,000 to $200,000 OR MORE debt for paying defense lawyers.

So their donations will go 100% towards legal debts. No lie. Debt NEVER counts as an asset in a hearing for "indigency". In florida, indigency is defined as owning a $10-million mansion free-and-clear without a mortgage.

Was George lawyered up in the bail hearing, or was he pro se claiming indigency? If he had a lawyer, the lawyer frucked up for not taking ALL the donations as his retainer paid in advance, with the rest in escrow.

Oh I forgot, paying lawyers is never allowed for defendants, or they might win!

Cops "testilie" (their term) every day with immunity from judges, even when they get caught.

Cop-killing Communist dictator Hussein Obama Soetoro and the jew media mafiya want a race war to get "elected" in Banana Republic USSA, so the jew banksters can bankrupt and overthrow USA once and forever. Never mind that Obama is whiter than Zimmerman, Zimmerman is blacker than Obama, and both are jewish.

Was the wife riding shotgun that night ? Was she actually THERE, live and in person?

And is she, in fact, also a 'white' Hispanic ?

They got a ton of donations for his defense. She shifted money around to different accounts BEFORE she lied about it. She's pretty much done. At least some of their outstanding debt is gone...

This one is a pretty clear cut case of bald faced lies with a clear motive, get a lower bail for her husband.

They have bank records, and phone recordings, of Zimmerman and his wife discussing how to handle the $100,000 she moved out of the donation account into her own, and Zim's sister's.

I am all for some leniency when someone gets caught in a small lie/mistake situation, but this was deliberate deception, and lies under oath during a bail hearing, with a clear paper trail to show the lie. She's sunk.

If anything, she deserves to be arrested for stupidity, cuz she didnt exactly hide it very well.

Is that what you think she was being questioned about?

Do you not think that a perjury conviction would damage one's credibility in pretty much any matter they testified about afterwards?

If, say, Eric Holder were convicted of lying to Congress, would you still give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was telling the truth in other matters?

Or is that different?

The way folks are giddy over her being tossed in jail, calling her " done ", as if she faces the same fate as her husband, is ridiculous.

The facts of the case haven't changed, one iota. This $ stuff is post hoc, and seems pretty trivial, imo. Not saying she shouldn't face the music for what she did, but as it pertains to 2nd degree murder ? Not a wit. Totally separate issue.

I didn't know her name, so I looked her up on Wikipedia. That's the new State Attorney/ D A / Prosecutor. She does have sort of a rep for over-charging in order to pressure defendants to plea bargain to a lesser charge.

VIDEO: Jailhouse calls show George Zimmerman telling wife to buy bulletproof vests for them =>

merman-telling-wife-how-to-transfer-money-from-bank-accounts/2012/06/18/gJQANuXMlV_story.html

. . . The calls, released by prosecutors, also detail how Zimmerman instructed
his wife to transfer money from bank accounts and could play a crucial role in
his second bond hearing next week.

Zimmerman was released on $150,000 bond in April, several days after the calls
took place. At his bond hearing, his wife, Shellie, testified that she didn’t know
how much money had been raised from a website created for his legal defense.
She also testified that they had limited funds because she was in nursing school
full time and Zimmerman wasn’t working.

Prosecutors say the calls show George and Shellie Zimmerman knew that roughly
$135,000 had been raised by the site. The judge in the case revoked George Zim-
merman’s bond and ruled the couple had deceived the court. Zimmerman has been
back in jail for almost a month . . .

Yeah, they seem to have been especially naive in ALL their attempts to "get around" stuff. Again it reinforces my view of a simple man caught in a mess--just the picture I'm getting--and maybe a simple woman, too.

Just out of interest, has anyone seen people "giddy" about her going to jail? I must have missed that...

George Zimmerman Passed Police Lie Detector Test Day After Trayvon Martin Killing

A day after killing Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman passed a police lie detector test when asked if he confronted the teenager and whether he feared for his life “when you shot the guy,” according to documents released today by Florida prosecutors.

As far as I know, lie detector tests aren't admissable in court, so yes, it doesn't matter.

Did the wife get charged w/ 2nd degree murder ? This thread is ridiculous, and wouldn't even have existed were it not for the racially motivated prosecutor who charged her husband in the 1st place.

It's his way. Every now and again he'll actually go out on a limb and post his own opinion, but it will quickly change to fall in lock-step with his GOP masters' opinions as soon as they tell him what his opinion should be!

Hey, I started this thread reporting a happening in the daily news, to see if anybody had any interest in commenting on it. 537 people found it interesting enough to read at least part of it, and people commented on it 31 times. So if you think it's ridiculous, don't let the door hit ya in the ass on yer way out. It isn't a waste of anybody else's time or electricity.
