Organic is not always better.

WIPP Recovery Manager Jim Blankenhorn told a town hall meeting last week that after several trips into the half-mile-deep repository, officials believe the radiation leak was likely caused by a chemical reaction in nuclear waste that was mixed with nitrate salt. Blankenhorn said a switch from a non-organic substance to organic was what triggered the event.

The unidentified substance containing elements mirroring nitrate salt is kitty litter, Conca said. The DOE on Tuesday confirmed that any waste with liquid is typically treated with "an absorbent like kitty litter."

"I'm just dying to know why this happened and who approved it, because it was a dumb idea," Conca said. "You just can't make a change to the procedure without reviewing it."

I mix Fresh Step with my nuclear waste, and I've never had a problem. They were probably using Tidy Cats with the crystals.

I make at least one change to procedure everyday, or at the very least I keep getting away with things until I'm told to stop and they will likely go on forever as long as I work here and am still breathing.

"Conca" is obioulsy one of those Harvard educated assholes who have perfectly manicured fingers that have never pulled a single weed in their life.

Recently, my boss got us cleared for free cheap coffee and filters and cups. I still take a larger cup out of the stores restaurant and use it instead. Actually, I take about 10 at a time and put them in my locker and use one every night. We have all been warned never to take anything from the restaurant at night. Most people comply.

My boy says to me one night "We got free cups upstairs now".

I told him "I know. The coffee tastes better out of these cups though."

:)

I don't buy into any Changes unless I explicity agree with them or there is no other alternative.

I would still be using Windows XP now if I wasn't forced out of it in April.

Seriously though... Coffee tastes fucking awesome out of these cups. :)
