I was thinking more like one-on-one training so the trainer could get to KNOW the trainee & possibly spot REALLY FUCKED-UP psychological shit that might compell the gun owner to shoot kids, or something like that...

But that's a money thing. I know folks never want to spend money on PREVENTING shit.

Totally seriously here, no. BUT. If you (and I mean a person like you or me) talk to a dude for an hour or two, you can plainly see if they are borderline crazy or not. I've talked to lots of folks, and some I wouldn't trust with a bb gun let alone a real firearm. I'm just sayin' that good people should pass along a need for further study. A shooting trainer that sees a trainee cry & laugh every time he gets a bullseye, or hears how his girlfriend needs to RESPECT him, or how he HATES this or that or hears nothing at all like he's training a Terminator needs to raise a flag.

As to the drivers license, Most kids take a six month course in school, a year of "permit" driving and then take a test for a license. I would like to see that bumped up to two(would never happen), but your process is wholly unnecessarily drawn out.
