I believe Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Shakira, Obama, Rihanna also had big online followings but their fame was built before they were online political or media celebrities.
Trump was probably the biggest online celeb loved or hated but he also had a following before he ran for President.

Joe Rogan was before all of them. He was on 4 or 5 seasons of NewsRadio in the mid to late 90's with Phil Hartman, Dave Foley and Andy Dick. Then he hosted Fear Factor for years in the early to mid 2000s. Justin Bieber was 1 year old when NewsRadio started. Selena Gomez was 3 years old. Rihanna was 12. Katy Perry was 16.
