What a crap ton of irrelevant posts over all this time, eh THUGGER?

Unless he lives another 20 years, Trump has little to fear because the legal system works very slowly. For an example from just yesterday: A Los Angeles jury convicted Robert Durst on Friday of murdering his best friend 20 years ago, a case that took on new life after the New York real estate heir participated in a documentary that connected him to the slaying that was linked to his wife’s 1982 disappearance.
https://ktla.com/news/nationworld/los-angeles-jury-reaches-verdict-in-

/

How close did Trump come to being convicted during his second impeachment trial? Very close, but some on the jury knew that convicting Trump would be the end of the juror's career, so they didn't convict. When the defendant, Trump in this case, could murder a juror, GOP Senators in this case, it is a travesty of justice. Despite being able to avenge his conviction, Trump still came very close to being convicted.

Yesterday, Donald Trump sent a letter to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger asking him to start "decertifying" the 2020 election.

The letter, which was posted to Twitter by Trump spokesperson Liz Harrington, claims to have enclosed evidence of "large scale voter fraud" in Georgia.

Since losing the 2020 election, Donald Trump has repeated unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter and election fraud. The state has undertaken recounts and audits, and each one has confirmed Joe Biden's win. Georgia prosecutors launched a criminal investigation into Trump over his attempts to pressure officials in Georgia to invalidate his loss in the state. Why has that trial not started? Read the letter from Trump begging to be arrested for election interference:

Has anybody charged Trump with any crime yet? Maybe that's your answer as to why there's been no trial. In America that's how it goes. Investigation. Charges if good evidence of wrongdoing. Trial. Verdict. Punishment, but only if found guilty.

Kiki Jack and signym have spent years visiting these threads complaining about the corrupt goings on of many politicians. Then came Trump. A gift to all those who actually deal in facts when confronting these three trolls. A gift because with their undying support of Trump they’ve verified themselves as being full of shit in their indignation towards others.

By supporting the Trumps and those they have surrounded themselves with. By ignoring all the criminal exploits perpetrated by them. By regarding any and all who’ve had their corrupt ways exposed as being irrelevant by ignoring them in their posts, they’ve proven the rule of law means nothing to them. Hence, their years of bitching here was due to nothing more than they like to bitch; to troll.

In this current thread we witness Kiki and Jacks one constant. They pretend it’s only about Trump being charged. They ignore all Trumps people being indicted and convicted, even as the indictments continue. With each one the investigations proceed. With each one the Trumps come closer to facing criminal charges themselves. And with each one adjoined with the silence of the three mentioned trolls, they continue to prove themselves trolls.

Nixon was never indicted but nevertheless he was a criminal:
https://historycollection.com/10-crimes-of-the-nixon-administration/

Trump and Nixon are not unique. A million Confederates were not indicted because Andrew Johnson, himself a slaveholder, pardoned all the traitors, insurrectionists and criminals who just happened to also own slaves. America would be a much better land today for blacks if famous Confederates such as Robert E Lee and Jefferson Davis had been executed for their crimes.

I picked the Confederates Robert E Lee and Jefferson Davis for the same reason. These criminals were taking a system based on slavery and trying to extend it, using murder, into the rest of North America at the same time that slavery was becoming a criminal activity, completely forbidden in the world. Lee and Davis were criminals killing hundreds of thousands of patriotic Americans opposing their criminal schemes. They were killing even slaves rather than just pile more chains upon the most difficult ones who had briefly tasted freedom, but then had been recaptured.

Then President Andrew Johnson, the last slave owning President, pardoned the Confederate criminals, so they never got the justice they deserved. The Confederates wrote books about how evil Lincoln was and how good the slave owners were and how kind to their slaves. The Confederates were even able to bring a more capitalistic version of slavery back to the South after Reconstruction ended. Funny thing, Trump was complaining only last week about removing statues to Confederate criminals. Not criminals according to Signym and 1kiki and Trump.

The legal system let every murderer from the Confederacy get away free. Murder a Union soldier? Go free, little Confederate! Murder slaves who joined the Union Army but were recaptured by the Confederate Army? You are pardoned, little Confederate! Place ex-slaves back into chains after the Union Army leaves the South? That's alright, former Confederate soldier! You have been pardoned. Nothing you do is criminal! It is a nice legal system, which functions very smoothly if you are an ex-Confederate, but not if you are black.

Firefly was based on the Confederate novel The Killer Angels, which has these lines: He then remembers his boyhood home, reciting the “What a piece of work is man!” speech from Shakespeare's Hamlet, which includes the line, “In action, how like an angel!” He recalls how his father replied, “Well, boy, if he's an angel, he's sure a murderin' angel.”

East Texas Republicans are uneasy with the year 2021 but are comfortable with the Confederacy. Houston Democrats are comfortable with the 21st Century but not with the Confederacy. It is not a conflict over values so much as a conflict over reality. Since I can compare the lives of Republicans to the lives of Democrats because they live and work side by side, I can see who is realistic and who is delusional. It shows in who prospers and has a peaceful family plus work life and who lives in goofy chaos wherever they go and votes for loony Trump, defender of the Confederacy.

That is a quote from Ted Lasso:
https://ted-lasso.fandom.com/wiki/Goldfish

A 15-year-old schoolboy from Adelaide debunked that theory.

He has conducted a simple experiment, which proves that the humble goldfish is smarter than we think.

"I mean it never really seemed feasible to me, that they had a three, five, 10 second memory because animals need their memory, so they build up over time a knowledge of where the food is," said Rory Stokes, a student at the Australian Science and Mathematics School.

"It seemed pretty impractical for a species to evolve without these capabilities."

He conducted a school experiment to prove his theory, using a small tank of goldfish.

"I decided to get a bit of red Lego and just feed them next to that. Every day I'd put it in and sprinkle food around it," he said.

"At first they were a bit scared of it, a bit wary, but by the end of the three weeks, they were actually almost coming before I put the food in."

After leaving the fish alone for a week, Rory placed the red Lego block in the tank again.

"They remembered perfectly well," he said.

"They actually had a time faster than the average of the three feeds before I left."

The goldfish showed that not only could they retain information, they also had the ability to recall it at a later date.

Culum Brown, a research fellow at Sydney's Macquarie University, has studied fish behaviour for more than a decade.

He says his studies of Australian native species prove fish are intelligent creatures that know how to avoid predators and catch food like any other animal.

"The thing that I really liked about Rory's experiment is he not only got that classical conditioning going [but] the fact that he could get them respond just to that specific coloured marker I thought was really good," he said.

Americans who can afford expensive lawyers can get away with being criminals. Trump, 75 years old, has been getting away with murder all his life. Robert Durst, 78 years old, got away with murder until last Friday, when he was convicted. Trump has got at least 3 more years before he is convicted, and maybe much more, because Trump didn't admit in a TV documentary that he committed murder, while Durst did, which forced prosecutors to finally indict him for a 20 year old murder.
https://www.google.com/search?q=Robert+Durst+trial

Newspaper and TV reporters have known for decades about Trump's and Durst's crimes but prosecutors pretended to know nothing because Trump's and Durst's lawyers would fight ferociously. Prosecutors with small budgets are intimidated away from a trial by all that money and legal talent.

I am pretty sure the Constitution did not consider that prosecutors would not indict rich criminals because the criminals can outspend the prosecutors' entire yearly budget. Instead, prosecutors spend most of their budget convicting the poor, who can't overwhelm the prosecutors with an expensive legal defense team.

The budget arithmetic for a prosecutor is brutal: either get convictions for a thousand poorer criminals with untalented, inexpensive defense lawyers or, for the prosecutor who is contemplating career suicide, indict one super-rich criminal with an unlimited budget for his defense lawyers. Prosecutors who want to keep their jobs will avoid indicting the rich criminals, unless the rich criminal foolishly admitted guilt, making the prosecutor's job very easy and a conviction almost guaranteed.

I never believed that "statistic" when Lasso said it, but it doesn't need to be true for the point to be made.

Since most humans can't remember what happened 2 weeks ago and that lets them fall into a state of constant hypocrisy when arguing with each other all the time, maybe we'd be better off if all of our memories were only 10 seconds.

Prosecutors should be required by the Constitution to prosecute rather than let wealthy criminals go free only because the prosecutor is scared witless by the criminal and his attorneys:

Former President Donald Trump condemned the criminal prosecution of hundreds of his supporters who were part of the mob that invaded the Capitol during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

The Capitol riot began shortly after Trump, who was speaking at a rally outside the White House, urged the crowd to march to Congress and fight against an ongoing joint session there that was certifying the election of Democrat Joe Biden as president.

Trump since Election Day had falsely claimed that he lost to Biden only as a result of widespread ballot fraud in a number of swing states, a belief that has been embraced by many Republicans.

Thousands of Trump supporters swarmed the Capitol after the rally, with a number of them battling with police and invading congressional buildings, including the Senate chamber, forcing members of Congress into hiding.

Four people died that day in connection with the riot, including a woman shot by a police officer as she tried to crawl through a window toward the House of Representatives chamber.

Trump’s statement that those people are being “persecuted” came as police in Washington prepared for Saturday’s planned “Justice for J6” rally outside the Capitol, which is being held to support the defendants.

Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr., D-N.J., quickly blasted Trump’s statement, accusing the former president of “trying again to gin up insurrection and get people killed.”

“I’ve called for Trump to be arrested and prosecuted for his Jan 6 treason,” Pascrell wrote in a Twitter post. “Nothing has changed.”

Prosecutors decide who they prosecute based on "guilt". What other reasons would prosecutors move cases forward if they didn't think they knew who was guilty?

Then the prosecutors take cases to the grand jury to see if the jury can be convinced. If the case is convincing, it is onward to a full trial.

At every step the prosecutors are thinking they know who is "guilty". It would be absurd to prosecute someone the prosecutor believed was innocent. But it is also absurd to prosecute a rich criminal who can afford the best lawyers to outmaneuver the prosecution.

It is even more absurd if the rich criminal is fat, old, unhealthy and likely to die from a stroke before a trial is over. Why waste time prosecuting somebody like Trump who will probably be dead, making a moot point of many years' worth of work prosecuting Trump? This is the kind of thinking that keeps prosecutors from jumping enthusiastically into prosecuting Trump. But just because prosecutors are afraid of being humiliated and mocked by extremely talented defense lawyers does not make Trump innocent.

The Constitution says one thing but actual prosecutors do another thing: In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; . . .
https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/sixth_amendment

In Houston, the District Attorney wants to double the number of prosecutors because there are thousands of felony trials delayed for years, but Harris County refuses to pay. They recently added one judge, one, the first since 1985, to help move cases along faster.

In the real world, the courts do not give swift justice as required by the Constitution. Prosecutors are scared of cases where a wealthy criminal, Trump for example, could tie up many judges in multiple courts for years because Trump can afford to stall justice since he will never run out of money to hire the best and most effective defense lawyers in America.

The scheduling development puts on ice for the foreseeable future one of two major ongoing court cases over access to Trump's tax returns.

A. Trump doesn't now control the IRS, nor did he when he was President.

B. If you want everybody to show their tax returns when running for office, have your boy Biden* get congress to pass that law now. Because there is no law saying that you have to.

I don't give a shit if Trump said he would. Biden* breaks promises every fucking day and you don't seem to care about those.

Let it go man. Trump will be fine.

New York Prosecutors Find New Evidence in Trump Org Case

Prosecutors have discovered a tranche of evidence in the basement of a co-conspirator in the Trump Organization tax fraud case, a defense lawyer for indicted chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg revealed in court on Monday, with the attorney also signaling that more shoes are yet to drop in New York’s ongoing investigation.

"Let it (nonpayment of taxes by the wealthy) go" wrote 6ix. IRS chief says $1 trillion in taxes goes uncollected every year. That should not be "let go". But very clearly the American legal system is malfunctioning so very badly that $1 trillion goes missing every year. Trump is giving, for those who understand how the IRS works, a master class about how to not pay taxes when you are rich enough to hire numerous lawyers to stall the legal system for years. If the legal system is too maladjusted to force Trump to pay his income taxes, it absolutely won't be punishing him for intangible offenses such as obstruction of justice or unlawfully soliciting Ukrainian authorities to influence the 2020 U.S. presidential election or incitement of insurrection. There is a big difference between stealing money and saying the wrong words. Trump does both, but the stealing money ought to be trivial to get a conviction, compared to Trump using the wrong words. But Trump is nowhere near going to trial for stealing.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

If you think th IRS should go after unpaid taxes more aggressively, get the Dems to fund the IRS more.

If you think the problem is with the tax LAW ... as I do (too many breaks and loopholes for the wealthy, too complicated to enforce properly), then get the Dems to simplify the tax code. Millions of tax-paying Americans would thank you for it.

But constantly and pointlessly harping about Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump - especially about taxes, when NONE of the elite (including DEMS) pay "their fair share" - well, it's just plain stupid.

And boring.

Just to point out an oddity that is only in America, there are 100 Senators and any one of them can stop a tax law from passing or stop a budget item for the IRS being increased: Ten Ways to Bring the Senate to Its Knees
https://www.americanprogress.org/issues/general/news/2010/09/28/8328/m
inority-rules
/

The GOP continues to stop tax laws passing and IRS budgets increasing and there is not a damn thing the Democratic Senators can do about it, no more than they can get Trump to pay his taxes. There was a brief, unsigned order to Mr. Trump's accountants after a bitter and protracted legal battle that twice reached the Supreme Court. I will quote the entire decision:
Quote:

TRUMP, DONALD J. v VANCE, CYRUS R., ET AL. The application for a stay presented to Justice Breyer and referred to the Court is denied.
https://www.supremecourt.gov/orders/courtorders/022221zor_2cp3.pdf

Maybe Cyrus Vance (who was mentioned in the Supreme Court decision) is looking at Trump's taxes. Or maybe not, because Vance is busy with the other 25,000 felony cases pending in Manhattan. Who knows other than Vance? Certainly Senators don't know when Vance will get around to it. It is not as if all the other felony cases come to a halt so that Trump finally pays his taxes and gets the punishment he deserves for not paying.

And another point: Wealthy people like Trump underpaying taxes by $1 trillion for 2020 doesn't stop at one year. The underpayment in 2019 was $1T and 2021 will be another $1T. A trillion here and a trillion there and pretty soon you're talking about real money, the $28T national debt: https://www.usdebtclock.org/

Trump sues New York Times over article on his taxes, but he won't win. The courts don't function when the defendant is rich and can afford excellent attorneys. That is what keeps Trump out of jail and that is why Trump won't win his lawsuit against the NYTimes.

The very last sentence in THUGGER's article is this:
Quote:

Trump himself has not been criminally charged.

I looked to see what the end results was of this court order. There's no news anywhere on any search engine I used. This looks like another phantom piece of fluff that went nowhere.

And also, as the article THUGGER linked indicated, Trump himself wasn't charged.

THUGGER may not know this about the US, but one needs to be investigated, charged, tried, and convicted, before even having a chance of being jailed.
