Not to worry, it's just a bunch of BS.

Let's get back to the topic at hand, shall we?

It looks like Mueller is ready to indict Flynn and company. This may take a year, in total, like experts had suggested. Just like Watergate.

It'll be interesting to see if any of the indictments include "colluding with Russians to rig the election".

I'm putting my money on "no".

Any guesses from you?

You and sig really need to start reading what others post before you respond. It's been said by me on many occasions that colluding is not a crime. It's just a word picked up by the media. What is illegal is conspiring and that is based on many of the same actions as colluding.

So yes there will be no colluding charges. There is however more and more evidence that Trumps people and perhaps he himself conspired. Also that Trump tried to and continues to attempt to obstruct justice. The investigation is ongoing and your instance that there is no evidence that supports any of this, is pure trolling of the facts.

Alan Dershowitz has stated that "collusion" is not a crime in and of itself, but, as you pointed out, within the context of the rule of law could be construed as breaking the law as far as a Federal crime is concerned. That's what I understood him to say today on a cable news program that he participated in. A mock trial at the John Jay College of Law.

At the end of the program, he argued that he believes there was collusion, but that alone could not be used in a court of law. He argued strictly on the basis of Rule of Law. His opponent, I can't remember his name, argued that you can pursue a case based upon conspiracy to break the law; and he proceeded to cite a Federal statute that dealt with that aspect of the law. If a person, or persons, conspires with another to break the law, no matter what their involvement, they have broken the law and can be prosecuted. It was an interesting program, although they just skimmed the surface of the topic at hand. The moderator even stated as much. Dershowitz indicated that he would take up the case for the defendants in the conspiracy case. He felt that he could win.

Basically, he was saying that there isn't any law on the books regarding collusion.
His opponent said there is several on the books regarding conspiracy. According to these law experts....you're both right.

Tick, tock...time will tell.

By the way, I saw a teletype report that Kelly may be working with Mueller and possibly turning state's evidence. This is a new development in the case.

No, nothing like that even crossed my mind. I just wanted you to know that I don't do that is all. No worries. I know that we are kind of on the same wavelength here.

What I find interesting is how some folk claim "fake news" when it is Trump and his "administration" that have been lying to cover their asses all along. They keep saying there's nothing there, and then fire people for the most asinine reasons. Now it's an all-out smear campaign against, not only Mueller (whom everyone respects as a no-nonsense prosecutor) but Comey (the man who quite stupidly helped Trump get into office) the FBI and the person who hand-picked the new director Chris Wray.

This just keeps getting funnier every single day.

Isn't that a hoot!

They are so desperate to distract, deflect and deny that they don't know what to do with themselves. Trump's attorney even went as far as claiming that the White House interviews are over. Bwha, ha, ha, ha.....I can't take it, it's so hilarious!!!

And now Fox & Friends are joining the bandwagon.....calling for Mueller's head on a platter. Not only that, a handful of Republicans, including Gingrich (who once praised Mueller for his excellent impeccable track record as a law defender) has made some disparaging remarks about, what else, his integrity as a defender of the law.

Isn't that a HOOT!

Not only that, but Trump is going around insulting the FBI. All in an effort to discredit and deflect attention away from his crimes and misdemeanors. Little does he know, or care for that matter, that he is negatively affecting the FBI and the DOJ, all to make himself look good and innocent of any wrongdoing. This is how a guilty person behaves.

Even if he did nothing wrong, he's acting as though he did. The FBI has a reputation the world over as a top-notch organization. It doesn't do the agency any favors overseas that doesn't understand the dynamics of American politics. Trump is looking to cover his ass, but meanwhile he's doing irreparable damage to the nation's national security. Plus, the idiot doesn't realize that he's contradicting himself. Didn't he just choose the FBI Director? Wasn't he confirmed and now leading the very agency that he's criticizing? So basically, he's ridiculing himself. What a fucking moron!!!

And now we come to the part where Trump has painted himself into a corner....
Now Mueller wants to interview him.

He can't plead the 5th, because it's as good as admitting guilt, politically anyway. He can't not submit, because both he and his administration have been bragging about cooperating with Special Counsel. And he and can't lie because: 1- he doesn't know what Flynn told Mueller, and 2- he can't perjure himself, he will go to "jail"

This is going to be good!

The problem, as I see it, is that Mueller gets to give an 'open book' exam while Trump is supposed to rely on instantaneous and total recall.

If I were Trump, I'd answer that to my recollection it was such and such, but that I'd get back to them with a more complete answer when I'd had a chance to review my records.

And everybody walks away happy.

You know Wish, I get the sneaking suspiscion that somehow he will slip through despite Mueller's best efforts. But, I have to admit, Mueller is going about things very methodically, so that's why Trump and his cronies are looking to silence Bannon and others from cooperating with the House Committees and Mueller.

Bannon is gonna spill his guts, and Trump is helping him by setting his "house" dogs on him. This investigation is a ticking time bomb. And yes, his followers don't give a shit about anything. They really think that he represents them in their deep dark despair that they will no longer be "large and in charge."

No, that isn't a racist comment. Well, it wasn't meant to be...it is a commentary on the state of affairs of the folks running about yelling the sky is falling. Since the first folks from England landed on Plymouth Rock, this country has been a refuge for immigrants the world over. Only thing is that there were people already here, the only ones that can say, "go back to where you came from" and really mean it. Funny how people often overlook that "little" truth.

Anyway, I digress. Now shit is getting heavy, like it weighs a ton. Konichiwa bitches from Beijing to Saigon!

Mueller reminds me of those mountain climbers/adventurers who go to the top of Mt. Everest with nothing but a compass and a toothbrush (okay, maybe a change of underwear), as he slowly makes his way up to the mountaintop. Next is Bannon, as he makes his way to the top of Mt. Trump. I'm patiently waiiting for that "bomb" to go off!

But, I digress..............

Back to our regularly scheduled program:

Trump eager to meet with Mueller, at least that's what he says. Personally, I don't know why he would want to subject himself. Oh well!

So, we come to find out that he did order to fire Trump, but that the White House attorney, McGahn, saved his sorry ass and threatened to resign if he did (Trump really has no self control). So he orders the bext best thing.....A Smear Campaign.

Still though, he has no way out of this. He could always refuse to interview with Mueller, but then Mueller would only subpoena him and then he would be up shit's creek without a paddle. The End is Nie!

Its sad, really sad SGG. Everything they post in reply is about Hillary. Yet they say it is us who are obsessed with her. She is gone, and yet to make an argument here today, they have to keep her relevant. She is not. It truly is sad.

The only way they seem to be able to defend Trump is to talk about Hillary. It is obvious to those who deal in facts that that is because Trump is indefensible.

Here's another thing Thgrri. If they had anything real to discuss, like something Trump actually did to advance this country and move it forward, they would shit themselves because they wouldn't know what to do with it.

Instead we get Campiagn-mode Talking Points and Putin-inspired propaganda.
"Oh the country and all it's institutions are corrupt and vile, Trump is the answer. The Disruptor."

He's actually The Destroyer.

And here's the basis for this form of attack:

Quote:

“What good fortune for governments that people do not think,” and his policies were based on the premise that most individuals are conformists who do not think for themselves. Hitler and Nazi officials believed it was possible to manipulate public opinion by using propaganda techniques including euphemisms, name-calling, fear, and “bandwagon” (you are either for us or against us). For example, the Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda changed the words used in the army, replacing the word “work” with “service to Führer and folk” and “worker” with “soldier of labor.” Writer Max von der Grün recalls the impact these euphemisms had on him during his service in the German army:

It is easy to understand that if, for whatever reasons, these words are hammered into a person’s brain every day, they soon become a part of his language, and he does not necessarily stop and think about where they come from and why they were coined in the first place.

History repeats itself.

Apparently, so do a lot of people! McCabe "stepped down" early. You don't do that (and give up that huge one-time chunk of vacation-time payout change) unless someone is twisting your arm, and reportedly the person who twisted McCabe's arm was FBI Director Christopher Wray, who read the 4-page memo about the FBI and FISA abuses.

A while ago, I said that the critical piece of information was who wrote the FISA affidavit which requested surveillance/unmasking of anyone in the Trump team, and whether or not it was based on the "dossier". If the FISA warrant was based on false representation of the dossier as vetted evidence, then ANY information gathered under the warrant is void (fruit of the poisonous tree)* and the person who misrepresented the statements in the affidavit as true evidence has committed a crime. That crime spreads up the chain of command.

*This could be why Mueller is so anxious to interview Trump: To possibly gather more evidence, independent of any flawed warrant, before those flaws are exposed.

SHINY, somewhere in another thread you mentioned JFK as a surrogate father. That is a flaw: The people who make up the administration, whether they be Trump or Schumer or any of the other DC denizens, are NOT your surrogate parents; and any attempt to rely on them as such is merely your projection based on an emotional need. You should fill your need with something else, something a lot more reliable (booze, scifi, people in your life) than politicians.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

No apology necessary. I just find this all extremely pathetic after 14 months of this.

I did celebrate when she lost. Then I've been living my own life for the last year. You should try it.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

You told me "he won... celebrate". That was 14 months ago.

I'm glad you are living your life, but you guys sure are wasting a lot of time on this. Any one of you bitching about Trump here not only bitched about him so far more than I ever did about Obama the 8 years he was president, but more than I'll ever bitch about Obama in my entire lifetime.

That's the pathetic part.

Honestly, I don't get the vibe so much from you, but at this point I really think that when it comes to T and Second that their entire lives and personality have become intertwined with all of this bullshit. I can imagine the stress they're going through. I wasted way too much time on GWB myself back in the day. It ain't good for your health and at the end of they day you're accomplishing nothing.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

Here's even more "bitching"............................

There it was for all to see, live and in color, the wise men of the Intelligencia...answering questions like men about the latest in surveillance.

It was interesting because you had both parties asking serious questions about the hacking of America; namely Russia's meddling into our government and voting privilege. Still though, there was one question I wanted an answer to: Why did "we" allow a sanctioned Russian spy into the country without so much as a how-do-you-do? No matter.

Here we had the directors of the main intelligence agencies before the committee that oversees intelligence matters for the country testifying and speaking truth. Wow, what a concept!!!

Imagine all these guys were hand-picked by Trump himself (if not all, most of them were). The best one was FBI Director Chris Wray (a Trump selectee)
setting the record straight on the Rob Porter fiasco.

Stop the video after 1:56 because then in come the "talking heads" to ruin a perfect testimony.

So there you have it. There's no denying the video tape, and you can't lie to Congress, it's like lying to the FBI. That's a no-no.
